A shocking lack of loyalty is how most people see it.

Everybody loved Claudio and it wasn’t nice seeing him hurting under the spotlight in his last few months after the magic had gone. Was for the best all round when the change came.
You carry on believing it was a shocking lack of loyalty , as for “most people “ seeing it that way, maybe not as many now as at the time I’d guess.

It was a scandal mate. He gave you the greatest achievement in your clubs history and you couldn't give him one season.

Really like Klopp. Pains me he went to Liverpool in the first place.

Done a brilliant job

His work at Liverpool could look better with age too if City go on to dominate for a number of years.

In fact thats what happened at Dortmund, his work looks even better in retrospect given Bayern have now gone on to win 8 league titles (and counting) in a row since he's left, title races don't exist anymore in Germany.

Same maybe will happen here too, if City cruise to another 3 or 4 titles in a row from here on in, more trebles and doubles, people might look back at Klopps work and see "wow he actually beat Peps billion pound machine to a title, won a Champions League".

Pep and City wouldn't have had any competition without Klopp.

What you've said just looks like failure to me?

I like the bloke. Liverpool were great to watch last season and he seems a decent bloke. Who wouldn’t bemoan their luck given the injuries he’s had. I compare him to Mourinho who I think is a miserable and ungracious c**t when he’s los8ng

No his work is very good, it just might look amazing with hindsight in a few years.

People might get nostalgic that he once gave us a title race and actually (briefly) stopped City's total domination of English football.

Without Klopp, Pep could be winning 6 or 7 league titles in a row here.

It wasn’t nice mate.
We were still on the way back from Seville when it broke . Claudio had made that dream come true.
we loved him and although he was obviously not going to come out and say it he knei it had gone.
Forget player mutiny or whatever else was being implied it was simply this.
Ranieri came in when a perfect storm was brewing for us and nobody could have protected the players from the pressure of”that” season any better than he did. But he couldn’t move us on which is the same as going backwards at that level in effect.
Our owners are honourable but they are also hard nosed businessmen by definition which necessitates head over heart decisions at times.
Blind loyalty is fine for us supporters but not for the decision makers.
I have no problem with that as long as all of those involved are shown respect and treated with dignity and our owners are the best at it.

Eh? Won two thus far, with Klopp and Liverpool winning one. 6/7?

City comfortably came second last year, so could have been three in a row if not for Klopp, which now could've been four in a row given they are going to win the league this year.

Klopp has provided competition for the title, otherwise it probably would've been a procession for City every year under Pep.

A possible four is not six, and it certainly isn't seven.

What I'm saying is it wouldn't surprise me if City went onto win another 3 or 4 titles in row after this season making Liverpool's league title look like a one off and in a weird way we become more appreciative of it. I do think if Klopp wasn't here Pep would've had the potential 6 or 7 league titles in a row in this country.

No doubt they have suffered with injuries to key players but I think Klippity’s pressing style demands a lot and takes a lot out of players. That was pretty obvious in his first season when his players looked dead on their feet towards the end.

I suspect the reduced pre-season break and general catch up of 2 games every single week is having a big effect alongside the injuries.

In some ways he’s possibly been a little unfortunate in winning it the season he did. Given a normal pre season break and schedule they would have probably defended it better but I think the players are just shagged.

Probably unthinkable til very recently but he’d do well at Barca...
