Do you need Clubmark to participate in the Durham Cricket League?
Nope. You do in the NEPL because they get considerable funding from the ECB and they obviously require clubs to have it before receiving anything.Do you need Clubmark to participate in the Durham Cricket League?
At least one other NEPL club possibly looking to play elsewhere as well so could be as many as 4 new teams needed o fill the gaps.
Any right of appeal? I’m not sure its a great look for the game locally personally
Id prefer to see you given till April to get yerselves sorted
I'm led to believe Brandon have had nearly 18 months to get this sorted and for whatever reason they haven't managed it.
I’ve no idea.
I mean rules are rules, but it seems very harsh to me. One of the best grounds on the circuit, always score very high on pitch markings - yet the NEPL have decided to just dispense of us like a bad smell.
It’s hard not to come to the conclusion that we’ve been hard done to, one misdemeanour in about six years and it’s curtains. It’s even harder now actually to argue against the ‘elitist’ tag.
The league have lost two clubs in one night, three this season - what next? Do they promote three or run with fewer teams next season? I honestly feel like they’ve made the decision to weaken themselves.
Anyway, Rushy has said the following on Facebook:
Bring back the coast league and senior league.
Go back to what made North East cricket so strong in the first place.
You’ve been led wrong, I’ve spoken to a club official and that is definitely NOT true.
So is Brandons Clubmark due to run out at the end of this season or has it already ran out??I’ve no idea.

For the uneducated like myself, what is the NYSD format?Simple solution is to promote both top teams (or 2nd place if refused) from DCL and NTSCL they replace Brandon who go into DCL1 then promotion and Relegation from DCL1, DCL2 and NEDCL happen as normal.
I do think another big reform is going to happen though and I do like the idea of the NYSDL format.
