So it's got nothing to do with his team selections, his in game management, and his awful substitutions?
He should probably change it and bring some of the fringe players in, but there’s no guarantee they will be better (as some seem to think is inevitable) and he has given those who started so well a chance to redeem themselves.

No one seems willing to blame the players, that’s been the case here for years. Flanagan is a great example. He’s been largely poor since he signed and I was all for getting rid of him in the summer. He had a purple patch but now teams are pressing us and getting crosses in he is back to his usual level. He can’t cope with it and is very weak in the air. Being alongside a bairn isn’t helping.

He is not alone but he is a good example of a player who was performing well just completely losing it and you can’t blame Johnson for him being out-jumped and out muscles week after week.

Your picking and choosing is ridiculous. Picking out the one game where “hanging on” didn’t result in a win then “lost a fair fee since then”, completely ignoring the other wins.

Shameful stuff.

Okay let’s run through them to make it obvious.

Wigan - 2-1 hanging on.
MK Dons - 2-1 hanging on.
Burton - 0-1 should’ve won.
Wimbledon - 1-0 hanging on.
Wycombe - Won comfortably.
Accrington 2-1 hanging on.
Bolton 1-0 hanging on.
Cheltenham - won comfortably against relegation fodder.
Portsmouth - got humped.
Gillingham - 2-1 hanging on with 10 men.
Crewe 4-0 won comfortably against relegation fodder.
Charlton - 0-1 against a managerless team.
Rotherham - Humped 1-5.
Sheffield wed - Humped 3-0.

So we’re getting progressively worse, conceding more and scoring less. Most of our results we were hanging on at the end, except against the shite teams. I’m not picking and choosing anything. We’ve won convincingly 3 times all season. Promotion winning teams find ways to win when they’re playing poorly, but they don’t play as much as we do.

Sadly you’re not wrong. We desperately need to find a balance between ‘trying to play the right way’ and ‘trying to play the way you do to get out of this league’.

See Wycombe. Dirt awful side. We completely embarrassed them. But they’re suddenly above us, and will almost certainly be knocking about in the top 6, because they’re effective at winning games in this league. Sheff wed is another, they had 35% possession ffs. They just watched Rotherham cross and score, cross and score, and copied them. Rotherham were dominant, but it was more just ‘effective’ than good football. Simple shite sides, playing shite football, making our defence look scared and clueless.

He talks a good game but we will never achieve promotion with him as manager

I was at the Wycombe game and they bombarded us for the first 15 mins with aerial stuff we survived just and hit them with a sucker punch, maybe that was an early indicator of our weak spot

Plenty players are getting stick on here and at the match but isn't it the managers job to see what's happening in front of him and do something about it? His in game management is shocking, as proved again this season.

Yes Flanagan has gone off the boil last few games, he's not the only one mind there's been a few worse. Doyle has been struggling for an age, his passing as gone to pot which is sure to affect his confidence, ONein has been horrendous as well and Johnson keeps persevering with AOB 🤷‍♂️ Leave them out?

He's also trying his upmost to shoehorn Pritchard into the team (this started against Bolton) to detriment of Embletons form, who was pushed out wide.

He had a very good opportunity to have a look at 2 youngsters when we were leading 0-3 at Crewe, he brought Bailey fkn Wright on. 🤷‍♂️

He loaned out both Hawkes (never given a chance) and Diamond then crossed his fingers with Dajaku, who looks poor at present.

I could go on.......

Hope he proves me wrong but I doubt it.
