I took the daughter in there a few years ago.

She ordered burger and chips, the burger wasn't in a bun, she still goes on about it to this day.

Only one burger as well, Not 4 with 8 other items plus two halves of a bun, stacked into some sort of Jengaesque tower which will instantly collapse when you take the pair of 2 foot long wooden skewers out of it?

They sell their dinners per item. It's a strange setup.

Really? Never realised TBH but then again I just asked for what I wanted.

Agreed, strange set up that.

I presume that's per portion for somethings not per item (charging per mushroom would be even stranger). Our work canteen does this with its cooked breakfasts, which might be the one time when it makes sense.

I would have loved to have seen that.

Fuming mate.

'Dad, where's the bun? why's there no bun? what sort of stupid place would give you a burger with no bun? dad...dad...'

mind you she gets just as wound up by the back to front letter 'e' in revolutions in town.

My nanna will be too. Its the only place she eats in Sunderland

Fine Fair / ASDA cafe in Peterlee used to do the same

Two places would have sent her over the edge
