Living in Lisbon

I can't wait to start supporting Benfica TBH

Working class club playing in red at the Stadium of Light
Estádio da Luz is quality and a great match day experience.

I knew some people who lived in the flats at Alto dos Moinhos overlooking the stadium, that might also be worth looking at, right next to the metro and would definitely be quieter than the city centre (match days excepted of course). It's very convenient with the Colombo shopping centre over the road, which has all the facilities you'll need, including the local supermarket.

That's a good shout. Will explore the area when I'm there

Used to travel with work to Villa Nova De Gaia - on the south bank of the Duoro . Kind of like a Newcastle/Gateshead thing . Not a great deal of time for tourism but did manage the odd Sunday afternoon bar hopping on the river side - very enjoyable

Nivver expect to get casually get into a Benfica game at Easter. Everyone inc the hotel said there’d be tickets available from tkt office before the match. They all return for bloody easter it turns out. Not a tkt to be seen and hundreds of tourists wandering around then into the shopping centre to cool off.
