Cheers. Initial reaction was to fly off the handle but then what’s the point, I’ll only be told to shut up. Seeing as I’m on here as a fan of a different team I want to at least come across as up for debate etc and not just being a WUM or getting into slanging matches.

It's a mag anyway, fire away

That sems fair enough, though we're going to charge you a premium for our popularity. Get to the donate button.

Sure.

Do you take any of the following:

Norwegian Krone?
Singapore Dollars?
Indian Rupees?

Not sure Liverpool would even get that much money compared to Man United and City, Chelsea and possibly Arsenal. Which would put them behind all those teams further.

Most of the plastics aren't neutrals - they tend to choose a team fairly early on and Liverpool are second only to Man U
95% of overseas support is based on success. Liverpool will lose their overseas support very quickly.

I want them to lose every game now. I really dislike Utd. But I want them thrash Liverpool

In my experience, your average SE Asian 'supporter' will support whoever's winning and change their shirts and car seat covers accordingly. Can't comment on elsewhere.

Anyway, these foreign rights they want to seperately negotiate ... do they want foreign broadcasters to change their delivery model as well? it seems to me all the games are on anyway, so to add validity to their increased fee it'd have to be on a pay per view basis?

Have a read of this - the bit about the crowd. It was a pattern of their whole tour. Why would this be so if they supported only who was winning?

I think all of the games will be on somewhere but clearly some are more popular. You only need to look at the dodgy stream links when we are playing say Stoke to see that.

They currently get more for the live Sky games as they are on more so it is logical that the International money should also be skewed in favour of the more popular clubs. I think that is all they are asking for. Certainly not a breakaway.

In my experience. They'll of course have a historical base, they'll have 'support' passed on from father to son etc. They'll turn up and watch when the show rolls into town, I'm not sure I said otherwise or that they didn't have a very high percentage of the support over there, that would be stupid. There are plenty of whoever is winning though, and the less Liverpool win and continue to not win the numbers will fall, I'm confident of that.

Barcelona is the new Liverpool.

I understand what they are asking for, I understand that some clubs are more popular than others. I just disagree that this popularity should further skew the financial landscape of the league. The model should be imposed as it is here as a condition of league membership ... we're all in this together.

You may think that unfair, I don't I see it as perfectly equitable ... without the league they're nowt and the league is being sold.

Will kill the Premier league. I'd probably not bother watching anymore.

That doesnt seem to be the case though does it.

I used to love watching La Liga but now it bores me, I only watch Real play Barca each other occaisonally like I occaisonally watch Celtic v Rangers in the SPL.

People around the world love the competitiveness of our league which would be lost. The only saving grace is we would have 3 or 4 teams instead of just 2.
