Life in the universe

Watched an old program by Coxy about Jupiter. Seems like that big cool bastard is to thank for us being here and for our solar system to form (and settle) in a way which is very much not the norm.

Conclusion. No aliens and Jupiter is class.

Its like having a big fat mate when you're out taking all the abuse so you don't have to.

 It wasn't quite put like that... Fatty still hoys a daft one your way occasionally. Jupes was essentially responsible for knacking the dinos, so even that shot was actually a good thing.

Mind, young Jupiter was going to pummel us during his younger day rage, storming towards us, but then Saturn showed up and pulled him back. He's much more relaxed and settled now, keeping a watchful eye over us.

So like having 2 fat mates to be your wingmen?

No Invisible Man In The Sky then ?

The title should be life in the solar system,

it’s way too encompassing to say the universe

It shouldnt. I was talking about how unique our solar system is in terms of its formation. The program pointed it out, and stated all other solar systems observed weren't like that.

Just saying your title says "universe" and should be more precise in saying solar system......to put it into context light travelling from jupiter to the earth takes just 33 mins, the furthest observable object light has been travelling 13 billion years

Goes to show how tiny our solar system is in comparison

Think people underestimate Saturn's influence in allowing us to be here like. Good ol Saturn. Just not as good as good ol Jupes.

Life in the solar system wouldn't make sense, as there are numerous solar systems. It was about comparing our solar system with all the others we have observed in the universe.
Love Coxy mind, could listen to him talk all day

This.

I remember a programme on that. The normal state of events is that the gas giants are closest to the star. It was almost a comedy of errors that led to our Goldilocks planet.
