The only thing I can add to this now is that there is certainly something afoot.

It’s pretty clear that a number of candidates have spoken to the club now, many of them more than once in a formal capacity.

Something is putting these guys off and I worry for anyone who does take/accept the job because I worry they’d be doing it in such a confined and restrictive structure that it just adds a further unnecessary challenge.
Like I've said before any decent manager/head coach worth his salt would want stability and control around football matters, we are offering none of that...

Im sure the word 'Immininet' was first used in the supporters meeting over 4 weeks ago. For KLD to then put it in his statement again, even with the word 'Hopefully' in front of it, puts further weight behind the words meaning.

I think we can all agree that it's (again) another clusterfuck of the clubs own doing.
They've royally fked up everything this summer.
That statement last Friday was beyond a joke. It said absolutely nothing and , as predicted, has just caused confusion

Well I’ve tried to be patient and give the club time, but not sure how long we can pretend everything’s ok. It’s looking like an absolute sh*t show from the outside

It was a big summer for the club to prove they had learned from the mistakes of the previous 12-18 months. Not looking good is it…

It don’t matter who gets it Dodds and speakman are running the whole fkn shit show

Exactly.

Who in their right mind - if they had any other decent options - would come here and take responsibility for Speakmans bad decisions?

Everyone who’s told me in the past that “what Sunderland are doing is the same as any other club with a sporting director”, should be taking a close f***ing look at what’s happening now.

What we’re doing - the way we sideline our managers from key decisions - is nothing like what other clubs do. Speakman’s just been able to convince our particular owner that this is how things should work - because our particular owner is a 20-something with nothing to his name but his dad’s success, and half a sports management degree.

Exactly. Seriously, what would be putting so many out of work people off where many have said, if you get it right here, you’ll be loved for ever.
Everything is in place - the fans, the facilities, even a good few of the players. Sadly, it’s those in the boardroom who are having the effect

Managers simply have huge concerns over the model and budgets mate.

I worry for who ever takes it. They might get lucky and hire someone who can work within the parameters they set but I fear it’ll all go to shit. No way you can speak to 3 or 4 people and they all opt to turn us down without there being a genuine concern to them.

It’s probably spreading through football what the potential issue is and some coaches won’t even have initial talks with us and save their time.

The only thing that’ll happen if it does go to shit the new boss is bypassed for the abuse and it goes firmly to Speakman and the owner.
