Exactly right mate, Think Burnley received £40 million parachute payment. In contrast apparently KLD set asking price of £80 million for the club. It’s going to be a big sway to any potential manager going forward to be backed by cash, rather than Speakman’s model. We are certainly grasping at straws now .

Let's face it, KLD hasn't got the foggiest about anything to do with the running of a major sports club, despite his dad's past tenure at Marseille. Stinkman is advising him on all things football related/trying to hoodwink him into appointing managers which he can manipulate and wet the wheels for transfers in which he makes a bit on the side ie. Bellingham.

The biggest thing about the announcement was he acknowledged that last season fell short of his expectations. That means he has absolutely no excuse now not to show any ambitions.

Thing is thou if he is holding out for Burnley is he really committed to the Sunderland project? I know it's a hard project to sell but still...

I think it goes without saying it fell short of anyone’s expectations but here we are with the same people making all these bullet proof decisions that combined to make last season play out the way it did.
