Liam Rosenior

We can do this until the works ends. It’s a far more limited as an indicator of how good a manager is than people make out. Cite the Beale example as many times as you want, it’s irrelevant. Different manager, different circumstances, different results. I don’t know where you are drawing a comparison, apart from the fact you don’t like either of them.

There is so much that one very specific data point does not take into account, in any given scenario. People hate context and nuance tho, they just want a number they can use to back up their preconceived ideas.

Hull looked very good on the few occasions I saw them. I don’t see many of their fans saying they’re happy he is gone, or that it was dull to watch.

I’m not drawing a comparison. You said only people who don’t watch games take notice of it. Beale was an example of QPR fans going a going to games and thinking ‘wtf, how have we won this’ then looking at the xG from the games and it showed he was over performing by being reliant on punts on distance that couldn’t be sustained. He tried the same thing here as well.

Lots of people thought Mowbray was brilliant here but he had a number of failings (that people were regularly attacked for pointing out) that were laid bare and cracks were papered over for some time before the wheels ultimately came off.

The way we may have ended up with Rosenior draws a comparison to Beale but not their records in isolation.

I think Rosenior is a lot like Mowbray in coaching and the way Mowbray was a bit underwhelming when he was appointed. I'll just be glad when the whole thing is done! Then I can look forward to August and the first home game!

Quite enjoyed that, even though I wanted Jansen and Still I'm warming to the idea of Rosenior if it is him we appoint, he seems very switched on and communicates well with the players
I won’t lie I warmed to the idea of him awhile ago, I jumped on the still boat though. Shame we didn’t get him clearly our first choice, hopefully it works out well. I just want the fucker sorted now like, get him in give the lad some back room staff he knows and trusts and get to sorting out who we are keeping or selling to sustain this model.

My issue more than anything is we always seem to go safe. Rarely take a risk or look outside of a narrowed view. Only time we did that in the last two decades was probably advocaat tbh. Every other manager has been uk based when hired and only two were actually poached from a job that I can think of. Even advocaat had managed in the uk previously

I think Rosenior could relate to a canny few of the young lads . I hope he comes and we can get on with recruiting 2 goalscorers

Can he speak French by the way ?
