Liam Rosenior

It will be interesting to see what happens to Hull. They appear to have overspent massively when compared to the size of the crowds they regularly attract.

Would be so Sunderland if Hull bring in Will Still and he gets them promoted, while we bring in Wayne Rooney or someone random.

They were awful against us in both games. Surprised they finish as high as they did to be honest.

If the owners had invested heavily in that playing squad they should be annoyed.

I agree, they were crap. They did look decent against Ipswich when I seen that game a couple weeks ago though

Got to be honest, his football for the most part bored me to death, bar one or two exceptions when he "took the handbrake off" (you away in 22/23 for example). Not really sure what the turk has lined up, could be absolutely anything, but hopefully a solid top end Championship manager, for what it's worth.
A solid top end championship manager? You want the same bloke you've just sacked then. You were flirting with relegation when he came in.

Yes, someone similar but with a more entertaining "style" of football and a plan B, and more experience.

Anyone could have done better than the useless sack of shit that had us flirting with relegation, the owner's mate with no experience beyond the Uzbekh and turkish leagues. Just hope he doesn't go down that route again.

But ultimately they have drifted away and by all accounts haven't played that well at all over last few months.
Point is in reality Still hasn't done much in the game to warrant this clamour for him to be our next manager.

Again what's Still done to warrant him being the leading candidate for the SAFC job?
As a matter of interest what do you think a SAFC HC candidate should’ve done in the game to merit being a leading candidate?

Am I missing something here? His managerial career reads as follows....

Took Hull to 15th last season.
This season, despite spending a large amount and bringing a load of PL loanees, some absolute quality, they failed to reach the playoffs. That's it.

Can someone talk me through why there is a clammer amongst some posters to get him here?

If we're prepared to go that low we might as well be done with it and go for Heckingbottom who at least as a promotion, albeit with a PL squad funded by parachute money on his CV.

Would love em here
are you joking,
I know a few hull city fans where i live , and they hate his style of football of just passing along the back amongst the centre halfs and their goalie for the majority of their games .
Rosenior told the the fans on numerous occasions ," i play only 1 way , like it or lump it ".
They have 5 or 6 loanees, massively overspent
These are

Hull City publish 2022/23 accounts
figs
Revenue £18m
18%)
Matchday £6m (
12%)
Wages £24m (
86%)
Op Losses £21m (
162%)
Player purchases £8m
Player sales £15m #hcafc
losing £400k a week and wages are 131% of revenue.

Seem to be in deep shit with those figures

That’s what most teams do now mind

I'm surprised at people thinking it's a surprising decision, he should have comfortably had that squad in the playoffs. His football is dull as owt too.
Myself and a lot of Hull fans don't have the same view as you - including one that posts on here. Rosenior's coaching and management is well respected. I've spoken to him and he's articulate, level-headed & intelligent about football. I would have him here in preference to Still. That's only my opinion of course and I respect yours.

Aye, I did acknowledge a couple of posts later that if the Hull fans are gutted then I'd maybe read it wrong. The Hull fan posting on this thread though has agreed that he underachieved and that his football is boring to watch.
