Very good points - especially about if he done the same in a foreign league. As a positive slant on Rosenior, I truly believe that if he had done what he’s done in a foreign league, folk would be welcoming him.
Hull were 21st when he took over; they finished 7th. They also didn’t have a striker.
Last season was his first full season as a boss. He’s credited with the good work Rooney had done at Derby and did a good job with them. His style may not be perfect but he’s young enough to adapt that.
Does he get the heart racing? No. Is he the safest appointment out there atm? Yes. I think he could be excellent.
I don’t think he would have been on a list before purely because he was seemingly safe in a job had just been nominated for manager of the year.
But by accident they may end up with a better option soSacked off half a season and bullshit a fanbase for months and could end up appointing someone months later they didn’t want anyway because nobody wants to come.
Doesn’t look great does it.
Because those odds drops for Still, Wicky and Jansen were so prescient?
But by accident they may end up with a better option so![]()
It will be spun that we’ve rejected him and we’ve moved on to other targets though.5pm tomorrow:

Totally get this and share the thought to a degree however I can't get onboard with the massively OTT criticism of how supposedly bad he was at Hull (not particularly by you , just in general)After 100+ days of scouring the world for the right candidate this just feels a flat appointment and then some
*hope im proved wrong
I really don't get the "sacked by Hull must be shit" view at all. We sacked Mowbray and apparently he's the best thing since sliced bread, so could mean owt.
100% this. For me it’s just proof that the club is being run appallingly. They’ve had high in half a year to replace Mowbray and they’ve taken 3 or 4 months over this appointment only to end up with someone who is only available because he’s been sacked recently. He obviously wasn’t on the original shortlist or part of their master plan.
They’ve fucked about and dithered and ended up with someone who they weren’t even considering as recently as a month ago. Hardly a ringing endorsement of their recruitment process is it?
Maybe you didn't, but you don't like anyone or anything about SAFCIs this farage style gaslighting or fact based? Lots of fans didn't like dentures!
If this yes man gets the job, write next season off.....
It’s like this ‘he plays boring football’ craic based on their game at our place last year and an eccentric owner who’s tried to justify itIt's a lazy comparison, one person says and loads just repeat it without much thought
All due respect pal, I’m regularly called a negative **** on here.
I would love some context on how a manager who goes into a club in the relegation zone, gets them save with ease, then just misses out on the play offs is such a bad choice.
I seriously don’t get it, Mowbray done an amazing job in the season we made the play offs, and Rosenior was one win from doing the same thing.
