His win rate is only marginally better than Beale's for us and 5% lower than Mowbray's - I'm even more out on this one now.

Seen this a few times now, and it needs calling out.

He came in when Hull were struggling big time, and got them safe easy. His Hull side gave us a cracking game at the sol and matched us despite him inheriting a weak side last season.

This season despite having a spell where he was really plagued by injuries, he’s finished on 70 points. For context that would have put them 5th last year.

So with a good/his squad of players he’s been unlucky not to make the play offs. He had a very good season and saved them the season before.

He’s a very decent shout all things considered.

The points total for the top half is slightly higher this season because Rotherham were so bad.

I thought they spent canny money the season before last? A few Turkish players arrived for £5m plus or something. One played a blinder against us didn't he? Might be wrong.

He came in with them 21st, 1 point above relegation, they finished 15th 14 points clear of relegation. He then was unlucky to not get the play offs this season.

He done a very good job.

He's done a good job, but it's still early days for him. Their target was the playoffs, they had some very decent players and likely have a high wage bill, they brought in some good loan players that won't have joined for free.
 
Was with my mate a Hull fan yesterday and he was saying they overplay it and his plan B is to overplay it more. He always that players, including the loan players individually improved with his coaching. Personally I like him. I’d be happy if he took over.

I remember Leroy who was a highly-rated centre forward in the eighties and ninetees. Denis Smith was always an admirer of his when he played for Fulham and I think he tried to sign him following our promotion in 1988 but he went to First Division West Ham instead and scored against us in the League Cup at Roker that autumn. I'm sure Smith eventually signed him for Bristol City in 1992.
 
On The Second Tier podcast they were saying Hull's wage bill and spend on players were around 17th/18th in the league, so he's done well with that.

He took over when they were 21st and steered them clear of relegation.

He signed a new contract with them when they were 10th this season and they finished 7th and sacked him. I think he can feel a bit hard done by to get the boot as he's done a decent job.

It's not a very long period to judge him on but lots of people we're being linked with are in that category.

I remembered him too thought he was a decent player - so being a saddo I dug out his stats. Scored 62 goals in 198 games which isn't a bad strike rate however he must have been pretty injury prone as that was over 10 years hence seemed to average 20 games a season or so
