Honestly man this whole saga has just shone on a massive light on all of this shite. There’s probably 2 accounts between here and over there I actually think get some info and the rest are just complete fantasy. And they live it every single day. It’s mental.

Tbh I never go on there but saw a screenshot on twitter of that Reiver post and I was f***ing decked at it.
 
Sounds like it's going to be him, let's back him, but it has been an absolute shitshow once again from those in charge. Can't wait to see how they spin this appointment, if it does happen.

Nobody wants to work under them, I've no faith now in the transfer market, I don't think they are taking us anywhere under this current "model".

This is the issue, he is a solid enough choice who will get us top 12 atleast (we should be aiming higher) what really concerns me is how many managers don’t want to be anywhere near Speakman and this regime, that surely can’t be healthy for a club our size

His first game was a home game to Chester which we lost 2-0. I remember it well. I lived in Chester as a lad and used to go watch them most weeks (I only used to get to see the lads 5 or 6 times a season back then). I travelled over with a few mates who supported Chester - we just went into different gates in the Roker End and chatted through the fence during the game. Seems a bit bizarre now. From the age of 14 to 17, I used to idolise Stuart Rimmer who they had bought a couple of seasons earlier from Everton for £15k and who just couldn’t stop scoring. Then he scored in that game! I got some stick on the way home. By the way, I was also there when the same Stuart Rimmer scored all 3 when Walsall beat us 3-0 at Roker to end their 15 game losing streak - I tried to hate him after that but still idolised him a bit 🤷‍♂️😊. Now totally off topic, but… I was at Walsall when they beat us 2-0, they then drew their next 3 league games, then lost their next 15 league games, then I saw them beat us 3-0. How did we manage that!!!

Think he’ll be a solid enough appointment. A coach with room to grow and improve with us after a decent start to his career. If he’d been appointed when Beale got sacked everyone would have been pretty happy with it I reckon.
