Liam Rosenior - for manager maybe

That he’s defensive. That his football is dull, that Hull fans weren’t keen on him. Some irrational owner says something, we have two boring games with them, a ginger kid makes a YouTube video and people jump to conclusions about things.

A player who thinks he’s a great coach and is good with people
Hull fans who post on this messageboard wanted him sacked and didn't like his boring style of play. The only person who is making things up is yourself.

I like Liam Rosenior. I liked him when he was a pundit & when he was a manager. He's relatively young & in my view he's both intelligent & insightful.

Whether Hull finishing 7th in The Championship is considered success, failure or neither is a matter of opinion, not a statement of fact.

We've had many managers/head coaches over the past couple of decades. Those with the better past records didn't necessarily fare better when with us.

Luck plays a huge part in football. Whoever we get (and I'm not really that fussed about who it is), I hope above all that they're lucky for us.

99% of modern day players who would be realistic targets for us won't have even heard of him man

In relative terms he was a plodder who played a handful of seasons in the PL, largely at the wrong end of the table, and never played international football.

It really is stretching all realms of reality to suggest that Rosenior is going to help attract players to the club. It's a ridiculous suggestion actually.

He's not Zinedine Zidane FFS
Not is Will Still, nor is Maric nor was Mowbray - he was an average footballer and a football journeyman, nor was Neil who got us promoted, Mourinhi didn’t play the game. You’re laughing at me while talking shite yourself

Aye ok, you know nowt about me and who I know in Hull I’m just not prepared to gob their name across a message board, so zip it lad

He's very media friendly and extremely eloquent but not, I think, remotely insightful. And there is no way he would fit in here. Hull board provided with an abundance of attacking talent and a replacement for an extremely dodgy keeper and LR insisted in playing his slow ponderous build from the back ... maximising exposure to risk and unterutilising teams strengths and insisted on keeping original keeper who would go on to to concede a number of very savable goals. They were in a great position Jan, invested heavily and because of his dogmatic adherence to a system he didn't have the right players for they won 3 out of 13 games.

I thought he didn’t want to relocate, currently living in Derby so don’t think he would accept it, and certainly not with all the constraints

He spoke with Argyle and it was relocation that stopped talks proceeding. Wanted his team to undertake training whilst he was at home.

To be fair, I never for a second suggested Still, Maric or any other coach for that matter would help to attract players here.

You did with Rosenior, which is nonsense.

He's a relative plodder in footballing terms with little to no wider profile and has had two proper seasons in management, one in which he finished 15th in the Championship and the other in which he finished 7th.

He's hardly going to have players banging down the door to play for him.

Did I fuck you patronising spanner. Go on then mr XG superior who is your suggestion to have players banging down doors to play for him ?

I can't see him accepting it
Why not? The perfect platform for him to learn the ropes.
I don't get why some think Rosenior would be so bad tbh. I'm not saying he's best Head Coach going or owt, but we could do alot worse.
Who has been linked that is better? I'd argue nobody. As you rightly pointed out he's not the most aspiring but definitely the best of the candidates reported.
