Lewis Morgan

Where does this notion arise from; B-O cant pass a f***ing ball man, when, that is, a passing ladybird hasn't landed awkwardly on his arse leaving him crestfallen - the few times he could bother it sufficiently to play..

- Oviedo should be regarded in Rodwell terms.

He got six assists from left back in 30 games, it's fairly evident he could provide a decent cross.

He always manages to have a great rapport with the people he's talking to but his voice drives me up the wall.

On another note, I have no idea what Morgan did to think he should have walked into the Playoff final team. McGeady was injured but at least you can understand why he thought he should play, but Morgan?

Given also Gooch's performance was it in the first semi was quite decent and a bit of a return to form?

I remember his total inability to find a team mate with passes inside being cutout, demanding to leave the field of play and touting himself to all-and-sundry - but whatever floats your boat Marco.

Six big ones.

Not the strongest player or defender, but we were a much better footballing side with him in it - understand the defensive criticism he got though I thought James and Hume were also poor in that department and didn't get the same amount of stick. However people criticising Oviedo for his crossing that season was a tad confusing seeing as he was probably the best crosser of a ball and certainly the best passer of a ball we had on the books.

It seems many of the outraged brigade have got the pitchforks out for Morgan without listening to the interview. It appears the only people who are allowed to say anything negative about our club are the fans themselves.

James was picked ahead of him regularly because he was soft as shite and a shit player. Still amazes me the lack of stick Oviedo gets for his performances here. Him coming back into the team coincided massively with our defence looking horrendous. Contributed massively to the Coventry farce.

James was absolute toss. We looked a much better team earlier in the season when Oviedo was in the team and we played the lop sided 352 till Ross lost the confidence in himself to play it, which he did again early last season. we were more productive when McGeady became a regular again and that was with James, Oviedo or Hume playing and with or without Maja.

Problem was Oviedo's isn't an out and out fullback, having previously been a wingback and he probed and got forward and early in the season had been our most creative player, you therefore couldn't play McGeady and Oviedo down the same side and that's likely why James got the nod after Hume's injury as much as James was shite, he was quite tenacious and didn't really comit forward.

The lull at the end coincided with McGeady's injury and a lack of goals if you care to check, the defence 'fell apart' as there was little creativity or players left to take the pressure off and score goals and we were too pedestrian centrally. Without McGeady we were knackered as we had no 'team' and the person to blame for that was Ross.

The is quote from the RR response, spot on as far as I can see
"Aiden McGeady didn’t start in the POFinal because he was injured.
Lewis Morgan wasn’t up for it because he was dropped!! No wonder he is playing in the USA! He didn’t really hit it off at Sunderland did he?"

Morgan might be telling the truth on some of the stuff he's saying but some of its still bollocks

You're obviously on about the home game with Coventry but his performance when we played them at the Ricoh earlier on in the season was astonishingly bad as well. One of the most spineless performances I've ever seen from a Sunderland player, got absolutely tortured every time.

Morgan seems like an absolute tosser but the stuff about Oviedo doesn't surprise me at all. Yet another disgusting signing from that loathsome prick Moyes.

...That he came on as a sub

How did I nar the only positively memorable thing would soon be hyper-extrapolated, or context appears to point that way.

To be fair he'd been at the World Cup so wasn't up to speed for the first game of the season, I'm sure he would have started ahead of big D Love otherwise. Not defending his performances in general during his time here, but he did possess obvious quality levels above L1.

Absolutely this.

I don’t know why Ross kept swapping the full backs. It was like he didn’t want Oviedo because he felt an obligation towards Hume and James. Ross was desperate to get rid of Oviedo in January too, the whole thing baffled me.

I don't have a problem with anything they say if it's what they honestly think but the players who were there were able to affect our future, the fans kept on turning up but the players often didn't, we can criticise because we pay for that right, if they get stick it's usually justified as every fan wants us to do well, when no marks like Morgan start bleating on about whatever problems there were behind the scenes and he turns in anonymous performances in week in week out I think we have the right to have a go at them, they are why we are where we are, not the fans.

Spot on

He's probably right that the club was and is an absolute shit show...but that is the reason why a player like him got a game. Heart the size of my cock.

Actually agree with a lot he had to say. Although spitting his dummy out for not starting at Wembley when he was bang average for us is just a dick move. It's crucial this club weeds out those kind of attitudes cos it's rotten. He should have been raring to get on at 60 mins and make an impact rather than being a little bitch about it. Fair enough McGeady cos he was our star player but f***ing young Morgan from north of the border... get fucked.

More bothered about Ovideo supposedly feigning injury to avoid away games tbh. Also Jack Ross preparing all week to play without wingers for the play-off final and then subbing a central-midfielder for a winger after 2 minutes. He made a complete mess of that game.

The more I read about Jack Ross the more I think he was one of the worst managers in the clubs history. He really is down there with Moyes, Lawrie Mac, Grayson etc.
