It was just over a year ago and he was twenty one years old, he’s not a teenager. It’s hardly like he’s reflecting his career and he’s learnt and changed. It’s embarrassing.

I believe you think differently from you comments, but from my point of view that interview is a joke for him first and foremost. That lack of respect and professionalism is a disgrace to all those that pay his wages. You can talk about context all you want, but to me it doesn’t matter.

I see Stephen Elliot has criticized him on twitter for his lack of professionalism too and he knows more about the game and mentality in sports then I do.
I'm not saying there's no lack of respect, no lack of professionalism. I'm saying the way I took the things that were said isn't necessarily the way you've transcribed. I'm not the only person who thinks that, looking back over the thread. And that's fine that we can take different things from it, but if we can't discuss that there's no point bringing it up.

So that's Morgan, John McLaughlin and Ross to name just 3 who have made it sound like an absolute shambles behind the scenes under Donald. Suspect there'll be plenty more who've been here in the last couple of years slating them down the line as well.
SD is just winging it, he's used to poxy little clubs and managed to blag his way into ours. I don't think he's doing anything malicious, he just doesn't have a f***ing clue what he's doing. He's tried to flip a moneypit and he doesn't have the resources to turn it around.

James was picked ahead of him regularly because he was soft as shite and a shit player. Still amazes me the lack of stick Oviedo gets for his performances here. Him coming back into the team coincided massively with our defence looking horrendous. Contributed massively to the Coventry farce.

James was a steady L1 player, but Oviedo had much more to offer going forward. From left back, he was still one of the best technical players in the squad, decent crosser, capable of beating a man and struck the ball cleanly. Ross set his full backs up negatively anyway, but we need every bit of creativity we could get given our midfield, and James offered so little.

I don't particularly rate Oviedo. He was shite in the PL and the Championship, but he was certainly good enough for L1.

o'nien always helps out the foundation of light and goes the extra mile for them. Shame the same cant be said of the other players we have had over the years ( o'shea and vito notable exceptions who both did more than their fair share )

Was told about kids party he turned upto, O'Nien asking the kid who his favourite player was and the kid said 'Jon Mclaughlin'

The story you’ve said on this thread about the party is fantastic. If you hear anymore in the future, would you mind starting a thread about it (if you didn’t at the time of course) I might of missed it, so apologies if I did, but I didn’t know he did things like this and I think someone making such an effort deserves to be publicized!

Bet the young lads and lasses at the party were beside themselves when he turned up mind (probably the parents as well!)

I liked the fact that McGeady was calling the useless fuckers out for drawing at home to Burton. At least he had some standards unlike most of the talentless twats we’ve had at the club over the last few seasons.

A few year ago now In the run up to the 2014 league cup final fabio borini and adam johnston both were at an event at southwick primary school . Both stayed and had a kick around with the kids in the playground for ages despite the member of staff from the club trying to tell them not to in case they got injured and it would make them late for a corporate event they had to be at the same day.

not usually 2 players that would spring to mind naturally for stories like this ( theres a schoolkid/johnston joke in there im sure) , fabio also got his wife to donate a massive outdoor climbing frame from john lewis for the kids Christmas tree appeal that year also iirc

And by definition a shambles under Ross.

McLaughlin and Ross made it sound a shambles more in terms of matters away from the dressing room but certainly from what Morgan has said it sounds as though Ross did an awful job of keeping on top of potential discontent and splits amongst the squad.

Ross just hung his hat on McGeady at the expense of everything else. It nearly paid off but by a few games into the next season we had a broken squad full of factions, McGeady was playing shit and we had no Plan B.

Eh? Was more McGeady wanted to be involved because he thought he was the most intelligent so every time there was something intellectual going on he piled in? Don’t think he was hammering him for reading a book listening to that

Also having a go at the team, saying they won't play at a higher level? Following a game he was involved in and therefore as much to blame.

Morgan also said players were scared of him and that he thought he was cleverer than others. Sounds a tit to me.

He should have laid Wyke out after his 2 misses against Burton Albion tbh.

Ross signed most of the players and set the tone.

Where does this notion arise from; B-O cant pass a f***ing ball man, when, that is, a passing ladybird hasn't landed awkwardly on his arse leaving him crestfallen - the few times he could bother it sufficiently to play..

- Oviedo should be regarded in Rodwell terms.
