Scored 37 goals in 96 games in the Championship before coming here and he might have played on the wing in some of those games. He's a top striker at this level. The only problem is that he's our only hope for goals, we need another striker in to have some depth.
I think others like McGeady, Watmore when fit, Ndong, Vaughan, will all get goals-we will also add so i dont think hes our only hope...would like to see us have a Centre Half as well who threatens from corners mind.(five or six from there would be a big plus!)

Vaughan will start scoring a few imo. And even if he doesn't, if he can keep his strong aerial presence, he'll get plenty of assists.

Mcgeady will score a few and certainly assist too with his consistent delivery.

Personally think Grabban will have a field day (season) this year.

He's scored 3 goals in 2 games - one a penalty.

In this league I'd love somebody to look motivated, look like they're enjoying playing for us and bag 20 goals.

When there are decent strikers I think we could get, I'd like to see us make a real statement of intent and get one of them.

However, I'm happy to be proved wrong and while Grabban keeps scoring I'll be happy and happy to admit I was wrong.
Champion ...

McGeady will get 10+ if he doesn't get injured.

Ndong scored 3 goals in 5 years. I was talking about goals from the strikers anyway. If Grabban gets injured we'll struggle to score. And like I said many times, I appreciate Vaughan's contribution, but he scored 7 goals in his last two Championship seasons before dropping to League One and has no goals to his name after about 8 games at Sunderland, so I really think we need depth there.

He's entitled to his opinion man. He's already said, he got it wrong - No problem I'm sure you've been wrong before.

I knew he'd score goals for us like (Not really  )
I probably have been!
Will always tend to give a player who signs for us my backing until i can see he is crap or not putting in a shift.

Has anything changed in your thoughts Brian-how many goals this term would it take to change him to an inspired signing?

Many on here write off players before they have kicked a ball mate-you are not the only one-If nowt else some may give players a chance before writing them off without ever seeing them perform...and give them more than two games! If you are usually wrong why post its poor business ?
Just because I'm usually wrong doesn't mean I don't get to have an opinion.
I posted the usually wrong bit to be a bit lighthearted mate.
It's just a daft opinion on footy message board man.

And at no point did I say I wouldn't back him. I've never booed a player.

Just thought I'd bump this @powburn red

After seeing him for a few games now I don't think he looks different enough to Vaughan, they offer slightly different things but there isn't much of a difference to me. He's been starved of service in some games mind but he does need to do more to keep hold of the ball

I think Clayton Donaldson showed us what we are missing and what we need on Saturday. I liked him at Birmingham and was surprised they let him go, I'd of preferred him over both Grabban and Vaughan

I'm only joking mate - not really being nasty!

We're all in it together after all!

Sad times
No worries-just wanted to give them chance-i did and you were right!....its a nightmare-really dont want to travel to game tomorrow but i am....im not driving so a couple of beers will be only way to try and enjoy it.....!

Repswick you get my respect for your name alone!

On the face of it he seems like a good player but if you take away all his goals he actually contributed very little

After scrutinising his statistics it looks like he’s scored 12 goals in 1558 minutes of football. But if we remove those he has contributed absolutely NOTHING

Needs to do more for me.
