Let's discuss the Monarchy

I agree totally mate. But republicans don't want to talk about stuff like that. Thats just not fair, as it goes against the nasty, wealthy, entitled, better than us narrative.
To mention that would have to give Charles some credit, and thats just not fair.
Nothing dubious about it though?
I've just answered that.
They probably have payed for it in revenue generated, just not in the traditional way.
Probably
Keep imagining what you want- that all it is anyway.

OK, so let's not forget in that case Prince Andrew's Trust. The £12 (ish) million that was paid to him by his mother to clear his name in a sexual abuse civil case.
Tell me.... did she earn that money working on the till in Tesco?
Probably did

No. She earned it from a grateful nation, glad handing investors in to this country, and providing millions of people in this country with a stable, reliable, globally respected Head of State.
And she did it for 70 years marra.
How many people do you know still worming at 96?
Little bit more demanding than asking you if you've scanned your clubcard marra

Can you remember a programme called Ask the Family? I did always wonder why we never saw the likes of my family on there. Seemed to have a middle class skew to it.

I view the Princes Trust in a similar vein.

😂😂😂
As are your counter arguments. Pure supposition.

Do you now?
Well have a look at the recipients of help from there.
Underprivileged kids, from all races and backgrounds, given a leg up and opportunity they would never have got otherwise.
Look it up marra, instead of glib lazy assertions with no foundation.
The Princes Trust has, and continues to provide huge benefit to loads of kids.
Several do. How many go to yours?
I also put in hours and hours of volunteering time helping put in procedures and finding funding to ensure that people stay warm and fed this winter.
All very laudable mate. The world would be a better ace if more thought like you.
Removing the monarchy will not change that though. They are not causing it, or diverting money from it.

Well done. Kudos to the Prince's Trust. The term underprivileged shouldn't exist.

All the kids knew Mozart and stuff

Princes Trust is opposite of what you think. Not middle class at all.

But it does.
And removing the Crown won't change that.
What do you think will happen?
The Government of the Day, whichever party will say" OK were are taking those millions away from the Crown. Lets give it all to the homeless. Job done. Homelessness iradicated"?
No government of any party will do that. It would disappear in to the black hole of the treasury dept to be fritted away on some vote winning government initiative.
Probably just about enough money to make a party political broadcast, and print some fliers.
It is a drop in the ocean man.

Is homelessness the only problem in the country? The prince could maybe donate one of his dewellings as a help.

The imbalance of wealth is the problem. The royal family have never had to face that. An accident of birth.

:)
Course she did.

So no taxing and robbing over several hundreds of years with the wealth passed down the family line without paying tax. I thought all schools taught History.

No.
Your jealousy of his wealth is the problem.
His charities generate far more than one of his xwellings. The Royal Family only own Balmoral and Sandringham as far as I am aware anyway.

A story about a Russian, convicted of money laundering, who had his conviction overturned, donating over half a million quid to help underprivileged kids in the UK via Prince Charles Trust.

Don't really see how that benefits your argument mate.
Yes - he’s just unlucky. Accidentally has paedoes as pen pals and keeps getting massive amounts of money from dodgy fuckers.
Maybe PIF can buy the monarchy from us?

That’s a fact as well - well worth discussing.

We Can’t have a society with true equality of opportunity with this system where different laws apply to different sections of society.
Utopia doesn't exist
