Aye a team full of young talent and pace, and a touch of class in cabaye, the daft c.unts

Wickhams probablys licking his lips at the service he will get, and we have knackers on her laughing at Palace rather than aim at their own shambles of a club.

Sunderland supporters are happy to be shite, minority that want us to compete get labelled as moaners.

I don't know how I feel about this transfer, I do know that 9m including all add ons isn't 9m.

Doesn't really matter if the club are doing it to get him off the wage bill.

If the club had any nous theyd have a sell on clause of at least 20% in case he does become a hit

So what's he going to do with this service? His anticipation isn't the best, he's hardly a fox in the box, his heading is nothing shout about, he's hopeless with his back to goal. Apart from that though, he'll score dozens.

In a struggling side aye.

Might become a different player if he hits the ground running with a bit of confidence in a young pacey side. Take a look at Defoes Sunderland goals so far, hes had very few laid on, screamer v Mags, Dribble v Swansea. We are hardly a team where strikers can thrive for the football oracles to judge him so harshly.

He got 5 goals in one of the worst attacking sides in the league, are you trying to imply he isn't capable of doubling that in much more attacking and talented side than us?

That's it. I'd imagine they do have a sell on clause. I'm more talking about people saying it's a lot of money, it's likely 5-6m fixed up to 9m, if these reports are anything resembling accurate.

The deal is 9m, including add ons means part of that 9m includes add ons.

The deal is 9m plus add ons means 9m and additional money from add ons.

How embarrassing having a mag explain it to him ;)

Id have looked to offload Fletcher and Graham first, before Connor but selling him to me almost guarantees you have a replacememt just waiting.

Which is what I said

Clarified twice and then agrees...

I don't know what kind of centre forward he is, and I don't think he dies either, let alone all the managers who've had him.

He should be an ideal target man in the shearer mould, he's got the build but he's got no fight and no ball control.

Can he play on the shoulder as poacher? No for me, his movement is poor as is his anticipation. He's got decent pace, but tends to run into blind alleys.

I just don't know with him. What I do know is that we've got good money for him.

Aye, I was typing while you edited.

Maybe my post implied I meant it will be more than 9m. I meant it isn't 9m as in, people were gloating on this thread that they thought it was a lot, but it will likely be less than 9m, which really isn't that much for a young British player who has a decent amount of contract left.

On the one hand, I feel it's not the greatest deal, but on the other hand I think that if nobody had come in for Fletcher and/ or Graham then you take what you can get. If they feel it meets their valuation, then fair enough. I don't think in reality he'll be any great loss on the pitch.

Yes but you've only ever seen him in our system. Hes not going to be asked to mark the oppositions full back at Palace. He will be asked to stay up top and link play with Zaha and Bolasie who have pace and trickery which will create more space for him.

Anyone could look shit in our team, we are slow static, play deep and play scared to lose football. Those writing him off and being extremely premature, he could easily go and have a Charlie Austin eque season next year. Im happy for him to go if we have done this to strengthen our midfield as sometimes it doesn't work out for certain players at certain clubs but Im definelty not labelling the lad as "Shite" or "Average" as hes not. People are praising Graham, well why haven't Palace bid 10m for Graham if hes so good??? SAFC fans happy to accept mediocrity once again.

That's going to be his problem though, he's hopeless up top on his own. To do that job you have to have good hold up play (he hasn't) and good decision making (he hasnt) at least.
