Some sports are male sports some are female.
Football can be played by either, but is traditionally male
It's been a decent tournament IMO (keepers thoughAey
I probably jumped in
Cant get away with lasses football , I’m old school marra
Love a good lasses tennis match with the gruntsIt's been a decent tournament IMO (keepers though). Obviously the mens game is a different stratosphere but then I enjoy watching women's tennis and again theyd never have a chance against the men.
All schools man you dipshit. What's "diverse" about girls forming school leagues and competing against each other?Certain "diverse" schools?
But that’s the modern way mate. The two should not be compared. Girls and women should be allowed to forge their own way in football without unfair comparisons to the men's game.
That is what has held back women's football for the last two decades in my humble opinion.
I don't think shouting inequality and making unfair comparison is the way to progress the women's game. Instead, show how good you are.
The lionesses are doing this and succeeding fantastically.
Let's not make the girls grassroots game all about playing the victim. It gives off the wrong message and its bad for progress. Let them shine.
So girls can play football with equal opportunity then?
So why create the illusion that they can't? Poor and divisive and has already taken in a few on this thread.
No need for it.All about getting groups of people convinced they're hard done to so they hate the other ones. It's vile.
Girls and often more developed physically at Primary school age so no real surprise. One of the best players in my primary school team was a lass. That was in the early 90s.
A very good point. I had no netball opportunities either. This fact is often ignored. But at secondary school I bet football wasnt part of her PE curriculum? My daughter plays football for a team and there are a lot more teams for girls to play football, but I still think most secondary schools don't have football as part of girls PE...which is what Ian Wright is talking about
