Seems to be shit loads of teams
Playing in the local leagues here at good quality too! Certainly inclusive here well up north might help different down south but I would say here football is inclusive and accessible.
It is good up here and the girls have access to better coaching and facilities than a lot of boys. The RTC setups are brilliant and their teams play some good football in the RF league

@HarrogateMackem said they couldn't at his. And his wasn't one of those types. I was surprised but others have said the same. The missus reckons there was no option for lasses to play football at her school either.

It's f***ing pisspoor how underserved most kids are for sport at school. Imagine if we had a sports system for footballers the way the yanks do for their sports

Good to see really. I see more lasses training than lads now and some of the coaching they get is excellent.

The other campaign gathering momentum is Her Game Too. Thats more about lasses going to games but some of the abuse they get is horrific

The movement is about schools apparently not allowing girls to play football.

I don’t know how widespread it is but It’s definitely true.

My daughter plays u13s for her local mixed team. Some of the boys are fine with her, others won’t pass to her because she’s a girl.

Doesn’t help that during the week when they’re doing footy in PE she has to do netball and hockey.

So she gets less coaching, less practice, and it gives the boys an excuse to pretend she’s inferior.

Play to size not to age. I played as a 12 year old against lads bigger than I am as an adult
Have unisex teams based on size and height and you won't get bullied or have to play to suit the strength of a big/quick player
