Let’s clear something up about the striker situation

For all the argument about how many we need now there is an underlying problem that needs to be addressed. Under normal circumstances and in most other club the 4/5/6 forward positions (bench and reserves) would generally be filled by promising kids. We seem to not have any younger forwards that the coaching staff think are ready even for the bench. That needs to be addressed to avoid kicking the can further down the road.
Yep, this is the problem. This problem was created when we were in League 1 though, we lost the best players (attacking players in particular) from our academy to PL sides. Hugill (Man Utd), Greenwood (Leeds) and Okoronkwo (Everton) would definitely have had opportunities in the side had we kept hold of them.

Maybe you are the thicky, it's a good option and we have played well using that system in the past.
Nope. Its an occasional option for us at best. The OP bleating on about how we need to play with two up top is ignoring the evidence of this season - and our squad composition - in an effort to get bites.

Earlier in the season we were playing with stewart and simms up front. 2 strikers . So therefore we need cover for 2 so we need 4 . 3 at an absolute push. It’s not being back in the dark ages and please don’t bang on like it’s rocket science with this false 9 crap . WE NEED 4 STRIKERS AT THE CLUB. We played about 6 games with none and it was a joke. We would have easily been in play off spot had we actually had back up. Yes speakman you have recruited in general very well but please sort the f***ing striker situation out once and for all and please don’t insult peoples intelligence by talking about how dajaku could play there. He’s shite .
Have you considered stamping your feet and scweaming and scweaming until you get your own way?

When we are in the Premier league next season and Everton are in the Championship I bet Okoronkwo will be regretting his move.

Even if playing 1 up front I'd still want 3 strikers at the club if i was DoF.

Agreed. But I still wouldn't bring just anyone in to make it up to 3. I'd prefer to stick with 2 if there was no-one either of the right standard available, (or, if younger, we could be confident he would develop to that high standard).

I am a bit dissapointed we seem to not be playing or loaning out caden kelly, and of course theres Diamond to come back. No central forward though
