Leicester walk out

Who mentioned us? My point was that todays PL offering cant generate the noise of old. We didn't need toys and f***ing gimmicks to generate the Roker Roar. Now that noise really did frighten the shite out of opposition teams. I suppose a large percentage of people on this board have never witnessed the RR?

The thing is the RR didn't happen every time at every game. It happened over a period of time, and still does. Last home game of the season and we need to beat someone to stay up, the roof will come off.

I don't like musical instruments either. See no point with them. They just make you deaf. And clackers went out with posh talking football commentators in the 50's.

I would love to meet the person who thought of playing instruments at matches. I would send them to The Real Geordie. I am THAT cruel!
The 50s - they were massive in the 70s man. Up there with Spacehoppers and The Osmonds.

Either a very silly question or a very smart one. Pedantically, manufactured is anything that is made by hand; you could argue, and you probably will, that, as it's made by hands, clapping is manufactured.....
I usually ignore your posts and I don't wish this to be the start of one of your interminable, boring conversations; I hope that's clear.

...and it's either "criterion" (singular) or "criteria" (plural). Your verb doesn't agree with the word you chose.
Crystal clear and thanks for the English lesson. Much appreciated.

If fan noise and atmosphere affected the game then why didn't we win the league (or for that matter finish in the top 10) or lose few games at Roker Park when we average crowds of over 50,000? Aye the Roker Roar was legendary and I wish I'd been pre 80's but I was only there in the last 15 years of Roker Park. It may have put the shits up the opposition but surely the players still have the biggest say?

@dangermows just requested this via PM!

p.s. now I'll get slagged off as it's been years since I was a season ticket holder and I rarely go to games now anyway ;)

do leicester give those clappy bits of shite out each game or are the zanies taking them with them each game?

Wrong thread I think, this ones slagging of the Leicester fans
It is, in the main. But there's 2 or 3 hijacked it to twist it into a 'oh isnt the atmosphere at the sol crap' debate.

One of them, i have noted, doesn't even go to football matches so i am at pains to understand his level of mirth.

You hand your arms in at the turnstile for them.
