Lee Johnson's last 5 results at Fleetwood

Let’s have a crack:

mcmenemy
Moyes
Wilkinson
Butcher
Buxton
Sbragia
Parkinson
Crosby
Ross
Grayson
Coleman
Di Canio

There’s a disturbing list for a start and that’s just in my supporting life. I may have missed a few.

I see your point and some of them are really bad, but they also managed us at a much higher level. Johnson was league one, and had a squad that was basically a cheat code. Alex Neil has shown since that he’s not the messiah, yet with the squad Johnson had he made us look unbeatable.

Says a lot about how bad LJ was.

One of the worst managers we've ever had.
You could make a case for him being the worst of the lot IMO. Yes he improved us going forward after Parkinson's reign of terror but for all of Parkinson's faults, I seriously doubt that we'd have seen losses of 4-0, 5-1 and 6-0 under his management.

Mind you could make a case for pretty much anyone we had between Allardyce leaving and Neil arriving to be the worst manager of my lifetime.

I actually think Parky was the worst of the lot.🤮

That 6-0 loss ay Bolton (shudder), our starting lineup that day:

Hoffman

Cirkin
Doyle
Batth
Winchester

Gooch
Neil
Evans
Embleton
Dajaku

Stewart

7 of those that started have done a job for us in the Championship since and he had Clarke, Roberts and Pritchard on the bench. I'll stick my neck on the block and say that team would probably be mid to lower end of the championship. I'm puzzled at how he got us to play so badly.

Lee Johnson good - Mowbray bad. That @Mowgli character should get a job on a football pundit panel immediately 🧐😂🤣🤣
I got my praise of Johnson wrong. I gave him the praise that should have went to speakman, I didn't realise how good the squad was at the time and put most.of it down to him. Looking back it was tremendous work by Speakman to get alot of the players in L1 that we did.

Doesn't change the fact that Mowbray had ran his course.

Fair enough, on the Mowbray part. I do think it was the right time, or maybe 2/3 weeks late. Or maybe even close season if a great new manager had came along. But I think he was still doing a fair job recently, treading water and ambling along, unlike chancers such as Johnson and Parkinson who were absolutely shocking.

Remember many a fan being called thick on here for daring to suggest he was full of shit.
I would never call fans on here thick. Thick and self important yes, but not just thick.
I liked Johnson he got us playing good football. He taught the lads what to do with the ball. Unfortunately, he forgot to teach them what to do when the opposition had the ball.

Also more importantly he looked good in a flat cap..

He got beaten 6-0 at Bolton in League One with a squad which included Patterson, Hume, Batth, Doyle, Cirkin, Pritchard, Evans, Neil, Clarke, Roberts, Embleton, Gooch, and Stewart. Basically a team that made it to the Championship playoffs last season and is in the top six this season.

I was there and it was awful and he rightly had to go, but whilst it was two years ago. They weren't the players they are now. And wasn't it Clarke and Roberts debut off the bench?
