Lee Clark is a C**T

He was forced out by our captain marvellous Ball whose place was under threat. Clark was daft, nothing more, nothing less. It was a great excuse to get rid. He was one of the best players we had at the club and doesn''t deserve the brickbats.

He deserves to be f***ing shot. I have never ever met anyone defending the twat, you lot only exist on here. I can take comfort in that

Clark left in 1999. The same summer as Ball did.

And Ball should have gone a lot earlier. Clark and Rae together were excellent. Ball was a carthorse.
Robin, I'll meet you if you fancy - we can talk about Shack, Jeff Clarke, Bobby M, Bob Stokoe and the like.

Yes but you claimed Ball pushed for Clark to go to save his own place when in fact Ball went the same summer, possibly actually before Clark.

So that is therefore bollocks.

What Eddie is saying is utter bollocks, Clark is vermin and any bad craic about Bally is shit, legend at SAFC, not as good a footballer as Rae or Clark for that matter I agree, but no need to be a twat about it or suggest he had a role in getting rid of Clark.

Ball didn't leave in the summer you claim mind. He definitely played a few of the early games that season. Think he left in the December (no transfer windows then?)

You are correct. He of course hit his own cross bar at SJP in the 2-1.

I liked Clark, but to criticise Ball is ludicrous. He was and still is a fantastic professional. And a nicer bloke you couldn't ever meet.

He is well thought of in his current role.

Clark was on his way out long before the t shirt incident because Bally's place was under threat. Ball was average at best but because he got "stuck in" the fans loved him. The only reall thing he did for in his latter time at the club was point to where he thought the ball should go. He hid, never looked for the ball, and was a shocking player by the end. He was a centre half when he came to the club and his performances in midfield were of centre half quality.
However, given his commitment, I'd much rather have Bally playing for us than a proper footballer, who, heaven forbid, supported his local side and got caught out by his mates.

Fuck off.

Clark spat in all of our faces with that T Shirt. He was sneering and laughing at every single SAFC supporter. He is scum.

Ball, whilst I agree, a limited footballer (not his fault tho, blame the manager if you didn't like him playing so regularly, Ball simply gave his all everytime he was picked and no doubt was aware of his own limitations), was Mr SAFC, he loves the club and is a legend here.

And anything you're insinuating about Ball forcing Clark out is bullshit.

A prank that went wrong. he was with his mates and they were having a laugh. If it was the other way around and the T-shirt had FTM on it, we'd all laugh.

I just don't think he's the brightest lad. He may have matured since.

Don't care whether it was 'just' a prank with his mates really, it was a prank at the expense of SAFC fans, for the benefit of NUFC fans, which makes him a magpie wanker. The SAFC-NUFC rivalry runs too deep.

I thought it was funny, to be honest.

The only downside was that he might have gone for less money because people knew we had to get rid.

In the end, he was no loss.

You'll have to take my word for it. But......Have a look at the tapes of the times Ball played with Clark, Look at Bally's body language, the way he spoke to Clark, and the way Clark spoke with Ball.
We messed up big time because Reid and Ball got far too big for their boots. Ball was an automatic pick for Reid, notwithstanding he was crap and offered nothing to the side. Oh apart from being an incredible and inspirational leader on the field. Worth staring with 10 men I think.
