Anyone other than Rocky think he still has a part to play after that shite yesterday.
Total coward of a footballer. Offers nothing more than five yard crab passes. First half had the ball taken away from him by quicker younger players and his passing was woeful.
Duped the manager again with his so called reputation.
May as well play with ten.
You have got to be the most boring and tedious person to have posted on this forum ever. I’m not one for violence but I’d love to smash your teeth down your throat, good night.

Doesnt mean your OP wasn't utter shite.

Bit harsh but given the emotion of the night I think you are bang on. The OP is just a tiresome cliche.
It does mean your reply is though

We play him we lose long term simple as that. As for your second part ... please :oops:

Having watched Cattermole in the flesh today I can confirm he was not a coward. This will be confirmed other fans who were at the match. Cattermole may have limitations but he is not a coward. Did you have the Checkatrade final on in OZ? If you did you would see the lad is not a coward.

Yes to your question.
If we play him long term we suffer. He offers nothing in a position on the pitch where we are desperately needing something. I’d honestly put O’Nien or Honeyman in there. At least they’re mobile.

Can’t fault his commitment nor that he has been our best midfielder. But the lad is being paid a premier league salary working in division one. Could be said that isn’t his fault but he was part of two back to back relegations.

Pound for pound ...in money being paid. ...imagine what we might get instead if he wasn’t here and we had his wage. Someone not already past his peak and who has shown he isn’t any great shakes in the championship never mind..heaven help us..the premier league.

I have no issue with Catts' work ethic or his passion. Additionally he seems a good lad who cares about the club. But the fact that this season -- just for instance -- represents his best goals tally in his whole career suggests to me he's found his level. We should give him a testimonial, thank him for his service, and find a couple goalscoring, playmaking midfielders in his stead for 2019-2020.

His wages alone would bring in at least 4 decent players at this level. Farm him out on a free and make up the deficit by selling McGeady. Don’t think McGeady will stay.. hope he does but can’t see it.

Was sat high up today with a good view, watching him try to get around a big pitch like that was embarrassing. Was blowing our his arse after an hour. £30k a week...
It would interest you to know that it’s the same dimensions as the SOL. He blows out of his arse week in week out.

Ethics and passion definitely - may work better if we had some pace around him to give him an out ball - unless we address that our midfield is turgid and one dimensional and because of his "wages" etc he will be a divisive character. However we still need some experience around the team to work with the pacey midfielders we crave

Why would you want a blubbering cry baby like Cattermole your Captain ffs

And it was only Middlesbrough an arl
