Yet, here you are talking ifs and buts and not what is reality. “We might not have got a point against Rovers if the ref had any balls” and “we might have lost against Charlton if Flanagan hadn’t blatantly prevented a goalscoring opportunity”. Let me play . . . If Danny Graham blazed over Charlton’s bar, and if we’d taken just one of the numerous chances we created against Bristol Rovers, we’d have four wins from four.
Don’t get me wrong, we’re no world-beaters, in fact, we’re simply not very good, but neither is this league, and from what I’ve seen so far this season, there isn’t much to worry about.
Of course it’s early and teams will find some consistency, but so far, including the Hull game, we’ve played four of the fancied teams and, in my opinion, been better than them all.
Obviously missing the point cos it wasn’t me who said realistically we could have won all 4 games, I was making comments to demonstrate it wasn’t realistic at all. The reality is we have only won 2 out of 4. But crack on misreading things and making up your own scenarios.

ee are also solid at the back. Give up man
I never said we weren’t, so nothing to give up for. Yet another poster making up their own version of what people say. Why don’t you comment on what I have said instead of something I haven’t?

Oh dear, the old “dry your eyes mate”, do you want to add anymore childish comments? Realistically we have won 2 out of 4, I said when teams work us out, nothing about the first 4 games. Realistically you said we should have own 4, when in reality, we didn’t deserve to beat Rovers and if the ref had any balls, we may not have got a point. Charlton, despite being on top, we may have lost if Flanagan hadn’t blatantly prevented a goal scoring opportunity. The reason they nearly snatched it is , because at this moment in time, we don’t have a “goal scorer”. Of course things may change, but we are talking about now, not what we might have in future.
If we are talking about now we are currently 7th and a game behind beforehand we were 4th/5th. After 4 games in the top 4 without a recognised goalscorer as claimed id say that isn't a bad start.

Yet another, look at my post once other managers “work us out”. I only commented on the start as others mentioned it in response to me. I will repeat, if we leave it as is, without having different options from the bench and constantly rotating or drawing short straws as to who will play centre forward, then I don’t believe we will have enough.

I didn't mean it in a nasty way agree we do need a striker but considering we've done ok.

I've said since before the season started I think we will be comfortably promoted this season. Other than GK and Strikers we are head and shoulders above the others

I think we may, but as I intimated, that striker needs to be different to the ones we’ve got, ie scores goals. But we also need something different in the middle, as everything goes down the wings. We need a different way of playing in the games we are solid, to turn it from a 0-0 to a 1-0.

I will stand by that when we sold maja it had to be in the deal he was loaned back until end of season. We'd have gone up. 17 goals before Jan imagine having someone doing that now.

I agree but was pointing out that i didn’t think we should have realistically won all our matches

Didn’t they have one off the line as well. We were fortunate to win that game imo

But we had chances too. I mean I can't even remember the one off the line so must have been a routine clearance. I think people are really over-exaggerating Peterborough's performance. The possession was 50/50. Peterborough have been lucky against us in a number of games, it's about time perhaps some luck went our way.

Maguire's arguably our most dangerous player and he was injured, which didn't help. Plus, Wyke started the game didn't he, which was a disadvantage from the off.

We would have been promoted in my opinion, if we’d have kept him. He just scored goals when it looked like nothing was on and won games out of nothing
Exactly a mean when you watch stid you can see it's out of our hands even admits his family trust his agent. Had to be tho he was loaned back until end of season.

Maybe - although they are possibly the most important areas for winning/losing games. You have the best defence though - fairly sure you'll concede the least in this division (if Wright/Willis play most of the games).

Any game wyke starts isn’t great. I don’t think we deserved to win the game from my memory of watching it. I’ve not spoke to anyone who thought we deserved it, unlike the charlton game

I think we got what we deserved. They had a few chances, but overall we were pretty solid throughout. Was it entertaining? No. Did we pepper their goal? Nope. But sometimes that's football, we were always in the game and took advantage when the opportunity presented itself, Peterborough on the other hand failed to do so.

We’ll have to agree to disagree then mate as i really don’t think we deserved to win that game. Pleased we did though as i found their manager evans in the game where oviedo got sent off to be abhorrent in his antics! Incidently he has the gills doing well
