Without a 15+ goal scorer (never mind 20+) we won’t go up simple as that, no matter how many clean sheets we keep
Not sure that that's true.

I'm concerned about our lack of goals. And find our style of play very boring. But keeping clean sheets on a regular basis will give us an excellent chance.

I feel pretty sure we will finish somewhere in the top 4. We will be defensively strong all season, will lose hardly any games but it just depends how much we can improve in the final 3rd whether we can get top 2. I don't think it takes wholesale changes just working on getting more players into the box and bringing the likes of Diamond and Neil into the fold over the course of the season. We are in good shape IMO.

I'm sure most the managers in league 1 have already worked us out so I'm not expecting many more points this season
I think it’s based on the end of last season, in which we struggled, because teams knew we needed to get the ball out wide. I was hoping we may have learned and have options, but it appears that we don’t, big lad and out wide, is the sum of it. I think we will be there and there about, but the last time we were at this level it was a case of who we were going to beat and by how many. Maybe I was spoiled, or maybe Donald has done such a good job of lowering people’s expectations that we are happy to be “in and around”.

To right as they might not have to play any hard games in there remaining fixtures, it’s only fair not to play out the season so everyone is on the same footing, there game in hand might be away to the team that Is also in the mix making it impossible for both them to up there points per game but hey ho it’s only fair

I've no idea what most of this means.

I think you're trying to suggest that if the season ends early again for whatever reason, there's no fair way to decide the points tallies. And this is correct. However, something needs to be done about it and unfortunately points per game just went against us last season.

Think it will still be the toughest year of the 3 we have been here, 8 or 9 good teams at this level..... ipswich will be fired up after throwing it away last year imo.

What did Ipswich throw away? They were poor and bar a good start to the season, never looked likely to get promoted.

I'd say ipswich, hull, gillingham, peterborough, pompey, doncaster, charlton, oxford, fleetwood, maybe wigan and lincoln are all very capable of beating us and finishing 6 imo.
And they also capable of losing games they should be winning. Consistency is key.

I agree with you. Most of our attacks come through Hume on that left hand side, we can't catch teams on the counter attack because we haven't got the pace. We can't play it through the middle of them cos we aren't good enough.

There's no doubt we look very hard to beat with our 3 decent centre backs, we will win a few games by nicking it and not conceding but if Hume gets injured our creativity will be next to nowt

We were unlucky against Charlton, swings and roundabouts

I agree but was pointing out that i didn’t think we should have realistically won all our matches
Were they? Clarke-Harris flumped a chance and they hit the bar, apart from that I can't remember any other clear cut chances.

Didn’t they have one off the line as well. We were fortunate to win that game imo
