Well seeing as the article is 7 years old, I doubt it.I hope this doesn't negatively impact the media careers of Townsend or Savage. I don't think the sport would recover.

No but at the time there was rumours that le saux was gay and he done it to wind him up. In them days homophobia wasn't as accepted as it is now and rightly or wrongly at that moment in time it was funny what fowler done. People need to fuckin stop being so precious man. I'm not some dispicable gay hater just cause I find that funny. To compare it with doing monkey impressions to Desailly is fuckin ludicrous...
Brilliant article. Some pricks on the SMB like.
http://www.readytogo.net/smb/goto/post?id=16690078#post-16690078I had to read the whole bloody thread to make sure no one else had picked up on it cos I couldnt bare the humiliation of being sebbed. Thats 15mins of my life Ill nivver get back.
a bully doesn't change his spots owernight imo mate. a read of their bbc personnel files would be interesting imoInteresting stuff from Mr Ince, the man who blames every criticism he ever got on him being black.
He obviously thought it okay to be homophobic.
I assume Fowler and Savage will be investigated by the BBC? If they had been racist rather than homophobic they certainly would be.
What about if he had done a "monkey" gesture at a black player? Would that have been funny?I couldn't give a fuck what the SMB think. I think Robbie Fowlers funny. Sticking his arse out, the coke thing, he'll have done more but can't think at the minute. When he told the ref it wasn't a pen against arsenal is another. Cracking player and seems a decent bloke up for a laugh...
So what if he's not gay? It's hardly the point. By accepting this sort of behaviour it is showing the watching public that it's fine to abuse and demean someone because of their sexuality. It's funny coz he's not gay. He's an overly sensitive bore. Surely a few of you can relate.
I don't find it remotely funny tbfIt's still funny.![]()
How would you feel if you were, continually, exposed to accusations that you were gay (assuming that you are not)?
Would you feel that they were harmless fun or something more?
For the record, I'm not gay but can accept whatever two consenting adults do in privacy is their own business.
What did disgust me, as I witnessed in Covent Garden a few years ago, was (probably) about 50 skinheads, on a carousel, sticking their tongues down each other's throats.
That, for me, went too far!

Already answered that in the threadWhat about if he had done a "monkey" gesture at a black player? Would that have been funny?

This. Probably already been said but this is one of the wankers that continually gobs off about discrimination and not enough black managers in the leagues, yet he's as guilty of being a **** as Fowler is. Same goes for that tit Michael Johnson. Hypocritical twats. No surprise about Paul Ince either. Absolute tosser.
So you wasted 15 minutes of your life just to insert 1 smiley to a post where I blatantly used the wrong term by mistake. What a sad state of affairs...I had to read the whole bloody thread to make sure no one else had picked up on it cos I couldnt bare the humiliation of being sebbed. Fantastic article. Robbie Fowler sounds a right arsehole. I remember when he got sent off at the stadium as he was getting wound up, and murdered by Kilbane. I was only about 14-15, and one of my mates was gay(well..still is) and I felt really embarresed at what we were singing, but was too young to speak up, I'm lucky my Mum and Dad were the best parents in terms of teaching me how normal being gay is.
Surely this will not be an issue now?
