A group of Man Utd fans were chatting in the pub the other night during the match and they said in his book Le Saux says David Beckham called him a bender during a match once and he was f***ing gutted about it.

The same group lads were calling John O'Shea John O'Gay all match an'all like the f***ing spenks.

Aye mate, should have imitated a monkey in front of Desailly too, imagine how class that would have been #epicbantz #whatalad

Was there speculation at the time that Desailly was a monkey ?..

I've said nothing wrong in this thread so don't try and make out that I have. You brought the monkey thing into it. All I've said is that I like fowler and think he's funny..
You said that Fowler sticking his arse out at Le Saux was funny. Would it have been funny if he'd done a monkey dance in front of Desailly?

I say him because he was in the Chelsea team at the same time, feel free to substitute any other black player you like...

Why would you only susbstitute the black players? That's abit racist isn't it?

No but at the time there was rumours that le saux was gay and he done it to wind him up. In them days homophobia wasn't as accepted as it is now and rightly or wrongly at that moment in time it was funny what fowler done. People need to fuckin stop being so precious man. I'm not some dispicable gay hater just cause I find that funny. To compare it with doing monkey impressions to Desailly is fuckin ludicrous...

I couldn't give a fuck what the SMB think. I think Robbie Fowlers funny. Sticking his arse out, the coke thing, he'll have done more but can't think at the minute. When he told the ref it wasn't a pen against arsenal is another. Cracking player and seems a decent bloke up for a laugh...

Fair play, considering kids go watch the game i thought the coke sniffing incident was f***ing shocking. How brain dead can some one be to do that. I personally think he's a fuckin prick.

I never said you are a gay hater. Thousands of people sung stuff like "he's a wog, a wog" at Roker Park in the 80s. I'm sure almost none of them were hardcore NF racists, still doesn't mean there's any place for it or that, 30 years on, anyone can be proud of that or find it funny.

Very interesting article and while I do not particularily like Le Saux, I do feel that the likes of Fowler went too far and should have been punished at the time. What I do like about the piece is that he is not afraid to name players, such as Paul Ince (who is always very vocal on racisim) and Robbie Savage, who also likes to make his opinion known. I wonder if any of these will have some comments to make (or late apologies to make?).

Andy Townsend just sounds like the cock we all know him to be.

Not sure if this would be true...

The abuse I had to suffer would be multiplied a hundredfold for a player who was openly gay.

I think an opponent winding somebody like Le Saux up, does it because they know it winds them up. It's like sledging in cricket. But to call an openly gay person gay? Why would that bother them?[DOUBLEPOST=1389279701][/DOUBLEPOST]
Why do you say that? He made some points and the only criticism I have of that artcile is that he is even more verbose than Fishpaste ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1389279385][/DOUBLEPOST]
Why?

I've never really liked him, and he could have handled the Ince situation better.
