Laziness/Ignorance of national media

SICK of pundits referring to the win at Chelsea last year, claiming Bent was an integral part of that victory when he didn't even play.

Yes, we've lost Bent, Gyan and Welbeck but it was bad management not to adequately replace them.

The national media have ignored, or have chosen to ignore, SAFC's record over the past 30 matches, which if it continued until the end of the season would have unquestionably resulted in relegation.

...................And still might.
O'neill is not a guaranteed magical solution.

That's why I said we'd UNQUESTIONABLY have been relegated under Bruce had his record continued. With O'Neill we have given ourselves a chance of turning it round.

Plus Redknapp is floundering dreadfully due to his lack of knowledge of the Sunderland squad.
