Lawsuit against Sunderland?

Absolutely. Can't see Delia wanting to do this. Tan probably would but Solkskaar would surely be embarrassed. Chances are we could finish 9 points ahead of Norwich with about four teams between us and them!

Beat WBA and we can put this thing to bed. It does seem the press however are keen to make a big thing of it

Why is no fucker from SMB trying to dig summit up about Altidore so we can claim he was ineligible?
anar anar, just a happy jest nowt else!
If there is summit on him then we may have a case that due to his lack of goals he should have scored, we missed out on an extra 40 points. That means we'd be in Champions League!

they have had nigh on 6 months, agreed with punishment given at the time and the matter is over.

If there was a lawsuit against us, then there would be a counter lawsuit from us. Surely arguing that we had been punished, accepted it and played the rest of the season in accordance with said punishment. To then decide to change the punishment retrospectively (after no clubs initially objected) and dock points would make a mockery of the PL and they won't want that. Isn't Maggie Byrne a lawyers and on the FA council. She may have found some loop hole to get us out of a deduction in the first place.

Anyhow, all of that would take ages to sort out in the courts and wouldn't be sorted in time for next season. The only thing these clubs can surely claim for is loss of earnings? Again, that would take ages to sort out and would be irrelevant as long as we finish one point above Norwich.

As said previously, the only team that would have any sort of legitimate case would be if we finish 16th or higher and ahead of them by a point as we would be taking league position earnings from them. e.g WBA.

It isn't. They will make a claim. Its a pointless one and even more so if we are 1 point above relegation but there is a basis there.
they said nothing as safc were adrift. they were all informed at a meeting of the owners/chairmen, agreed the punishment fit the crime and it was closed by the premier league

desperate stuff, the fact remains, it was a technical fault to which everyone was made aware of in December, we have been punished according to Premier League rules and that is the end of the matter. Or will they retrospectively relegate West Ham Utd?

I'm sorry but this is all a load of crap - incredibly sore losers in the 3 lower teams. They've had 6 months to bring up their issue to it - they didn't at the time and thats that. Sunderland consider the matter closed, The FA consider the matter closed - they want some compensation for someone who brought us just a single point in his woeful league appearances this season? Do me a favour.

Someone should make some sort of authority or 'association' that could make the rules up that all clubs would agree to and agree to abide by to stop sad bitter clubs threatening to sue willy nilly whenever they disagree with anything.

They could call it the F.A or something.

Tbh mate, even using the WBA example, the cost to the club perusing the legal action will probably be more then the actual money they've lost.

Plus I doubt they'd want to rock the boat and risk pissing the premier league off.

We have to keep this shit going just to wind up the mags

The funny thing is mate; it's the mags that seem desperate to push this case. If you read the forums of Cardiff, Fulham and Norwich tonight, they are against legal action and are keen to focus on their own faults

Don't worry lads. Nowt will happen and we'll finish not than the point we would be deducted anyway

Maybe we should launch our own legal bid to have our points deducted?

This Dan Taylor prick seems desperate for us to be relegated, twisting the story to suit his own ends. Who is he, what have we ever done to offend him?
