Kids playing football barefoot . . . . . kids dreaming of being a footballer for no other reason than their love for the game. Are these bygone times in this day and age? Well, not everywhere in the world . . . . .

I met these football-mad kids whilst in Lombok, Indonesia, earlier this month.

I came across this lady and her family out searching for clams in the shallow water of one of the esturies leading out to the sea off the coast of Lombok.

I was quite intrigued at what they were doing, so crossed a load of thick sinking mud, almost losing my flipflops in the process, to get down to where they were . . . All in the name of a photograph! Although I did repay this lady who kindly let me take her photo by having a rummage around in the mud myself and finding her a clam!

I took this at dusk along the north west coast of Lombok, Indonesia, where there are alot of rice paddies and grazing fields that overlook the coastline.
