Latest boxing crack

Whyte seemingly hasn't signed and is relying on arbitration
Got till 6am I think.
He's a mug if he's going to turn £8m down though. He doesn't even lose much respect if he gets beat, because Tyson is generally thought to be a level above everyone else really (maybe not Usky), so he'll have another chance to come again.
Just checked and looks like Brook tried to come out in Fly gloves, who WBC have banned in their bouts. Still legal under BBBoC it seems, but Brook probably just playing mind games as he will have known he needed to wear contracted and picked pair of gloves
You think he just wanted everyone to know about the contractual stuff Amir was pulling to allow him to get the fight? He seemed really upset about it in general throughout.

The thing is, even though the absolute sum Whyte has been offered is good, they still have gone out their way to fuck him. Less sympathy now he's got a potential 10m+ USD if he wins, though. If he really wants it he needs to take it. Fury could be retired by next year FFS knowing his impulsiveness.

Regarding Brook, I think he was just trying to rattle Khan. Gloves are a pretty big deal in big fights and there's a process of not only agreeing the specifics of the gloves, but also ordering multiple pairs and then hand picking 2 gloves from 3 pairs. Maybe it was different for this fight, but doubt it. Think they've done it to rattle Khan and then just finished the warm up in them before changing them in the ring, instead of cutting the warm up changing them in the locker room then standing in the ring another 15 mins waiting for the A side fighter.

Could just be a last minute stunt. Hopefully. Would like to see it.
If he doesn't sign then he deserves all the stick he'll get.

Arum and Frank have basically caved anyway by inflating the purse bids. If he got his deserved cut, the purse bid that won would've been low and I suspect the net difference negligible.

Might sell our Wembley Arena but it will look embarrassing in the stadium !

I do like how Whytes been quiet and pushed the signing to the last minute

Be surprised if it was Wembley Arena mind, quite small for what is probably the second biggest British fight to be made at the moment.
