And does anyone believe breazale would not be utterly humiliated versus fury and fury is about as wrong as you can get for Ruiz, range and footwork would be a long drawn out painful beating....career damaging for Ruiz.

Let’s not forget the purpose. A showcase fight , I don’t believe anyone has claimed this to be anything other .

yep showbiz babe, the moneymen are plotting the Fury Wilder rematch payday. They wont let anything get in the way of that.

2 wins over Chisora, KO Lucas Browne and a UD decision over Joseph Parker is a better wind record than Wilder. Whyte is underrated if anything imo

I'd say beating Ortiz and drawing with Fury (controversially of course) trumps Whyte record. Lucas browne came in really bad shape and has more recently been stopped by Dave Allen and Chisora is tough but hasn't had a big win in years. I don't think Whyte is underrated by Hearn who has him headlining PPVs.

Whyte deserves his chance IMO. He’s improved as a fighter since the Joshua fight. He’s a live threat in this division.
Anyone who's a mandatory should get his shot within 12 months. As soon as the "immediate rematch" the WBC ordered with Fury was off the table, he should have had to face him, not a hand picked opponent.

  • Updating on the Andy Ruiz Jr vs Anthony Joshua rematch, Eddie Hearn thinks a decision over the date/venue will be made this week. He says the fight will take place between Nov 16th - Dec 14th with USA (MSG) and UK (Wembley, Spurs, Cardiff) still in play. @SkySportsNews

Anyone confident for this to be held in the UK?

Money talks. Genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if it’s in Vegas.

It’s not just about money though. Potentially AJ’s career is on the line here with this re-match. Hearn will know this.

Short term - yes big payday in Vegas.
Long term if AJ’s is defeated. That big pay day won’t look so smart.
It’s always about the Money, hence why he went to MSG in the first place.

If it’s not about the money, why is America even being mentioned

The type of football lad Brits and Mexicans love a trip to Vegas for a big fight. The fight is no less fair in Vegas, really.

Are football stadiums viable for winter venues? I know roof can go on but would they risk a avalanche of snow in the surrounding area?

They can, but it's not really the best idea. Even without the roof the ring will be protected from a bit of rain but anything too bad will probably fuck things up

In the ring straight after the fight when interviewed. Hearn was confident the re-match would be done in the UK due to what was in the contract.

Surely both Hearn & AJ would want it in the UK (every bit of advantage helps).
