Latest boxing crack

Boxing lads, can you help me out.
I seem to remember a title fight before Xmas, in a casino, maybe even monte carlo. The fight was a total joke, one guy who i think was in pink shorts, was just running away.
Seem to remember the commentators talking about the bloke that won as a possible opponent for Joshua. Any ideas? Can't remember either boxers name
Ortiz v Scott?

Eddie Hearn: "We're taking him home to Newcastle..."

Fuck off Eddie.
Yeah, i can't stand Hearn but can see what he is doing here - it was exactly the same with Bradley Saunders who is based further south than Josh. He'll see Newcastle as the 'capital' with the nightlife (after party) and more importantly, the biggest arena in the region.

His venture with Saunders failed due to Saunders hand issues and him getting DQ'd in that fight and that was a huge blow for boxing in the region but he is only really interested in 'core' cities like London, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and if he can add Newcastle to that list he will.

Might have been better having this one at the Rainton Meadows, but his ultimate aim will be to get Josh at the arena so if he can get him boxing to that Newcastle audience on a smaller scale first then he will. Without a 6,000+ arena, Sunderland is pretty useless to the money orientated Hearn. I've never even heard of the Walker Dome though, so seems a bit of a strange venue.

I can still see Hearn's face when Brad Saunders said he had no interest at all in football  - Hearn would have loved to have got the 'Toon Army' on board there

Walker dome, I assume is at the walker lightfoot centre, a sports complex in walker with athletics tracks, artificial pitches, hockey pitches. I have played football there, but not been inside the dome. I expect it'll be a big sports hall.

Really enjoyed both cards last night. Warrington-Martinez was a cracking fight on the BT bill and really enjoyed Rodriguez-Eggington and Yafai-Muranaka on the Sky bill, cracking night for the North East too with wins for Kelly, Leather and Ward

The 3 BT shows so far have been really good. A bit of competition for Matchroom/Sky can only be a good thing for the sport in this country

Why are so many people rating Hughie Fury and fancying his chances against Joseph Parker ?

Nevermind that what's he done to deserve a title shot ? He beat Fred Kassie and that's about it only got the chance cause of his surname.

Don't get me wrong he's young and promising and looks like he's got a decent future ahead of him but don't like his chances against Parker who can hit hard and fast, his fight against Takam was brilliant and I don't think Hughie could handle that kind of contest !

N also his cousins back in it running his mouth of on Twitter,

Bellew to KO Haye
Hughie to get the win
Wlad to knock out AJ

Don't think he's got one right there !

I see McGregor has signed the contract for FMJ. What an absolute joke.

I can't wait to watch him get splattered. I REALLY hope he has a world class chin, so he can show the world how stupid it was to try

Josh Taylor-O'Hara Davies signed for July 8th :cool:

A huge shame it's clashing with a Warren BT show but 2017 is delivering in a big way

Cracking fight, really hard to call. I'd side with Taylor 5 or 6 months ago, but he hasn't looked quite as good since the Ryan fight and Davies has looked better recently. I'd say it's pretty 50/50 tbh and we'll probably see 10/11 vs 10/11 type odds when they come out. Home advantage (cards) might just swing it in Josh's favour. Shame it's at the Braehead and not the more central and bigger Hydro.

Looking forward to Gervonta Davis - Liam Walsh tomorrow as well.
