They will wheel him out again and again. Hes rich enough to retire comfortably. Olympic gold, heavyweight champ, minted. That should be enough.

Sadly it wont and the gobshites in his ears will be on at him. Did you see the Saudi guy having a meltdown at ringside when he realised his plans gone to shit

Usyk will beat Fury in the re-match and retire.

Fury will then fight AJ in a past-it fight (for both) but will be hyped to the hills by the usual characters (Warren, Hearn, Saudi's etc.) and will sell-out Wembley despite all of this.

Dubois will take on Parker.
Usyk will probably keep fighting to make as much as possible for his family. He was taken 30% pay from some previous fight so now is the time to call the shots and make take the bigger purses

Wasn't happy to be on camera at that point was he?

Only person at ringside who looked as sick as Turki about that result was Fury.

Just watching the fight back, interesting gesture by the Arab guy as they come out for the fifth, he draws his hand across his throat.

he hasn't always managed to make it as effective as it should've been.

Definitely not. Maybe he's been coached into understanding that his jab is his most effective weapon to lay the foundations, and he's starting to be able to hold himself together in fights whereby he makes sure he keeps that message in his head.

Think its probably different for most boxers. It'll all depend on how much backing you get.

If you turn over under a big printer who wants to push you then you probably make enough to be alright as you come through. The promoter will lose the money initially but as long as the boxer gets to a certain level will make it back in the back end.

If you're not a name, no amateur pedigree, ain't been to Olympics, no a relative if a famous fighter etc then it's probably really hard to get through. Need to sell tickets which means the boxers buy a block and lose out if they don't sell them.

Manager and trainer cuts 10% each, tax 20% on total incomings, gym costs, dieting costs, nutritionist if you have one. Yeah you can definitely end up minus.

Think it's why a lot of amateurs hang around too long. Sure it's like 40-50k a year to be in the team GB squad. That's a good living.
Yeah. Tony Jeffries has made a few videos on what he got paid as an Olympian turning pro. Can't remember the exact figures but something like a £40k signing on bonus up front then £20k per fight. But Maloney only paid him half of the £40k in the end. Think he estimated he made £270k gross from boxing but had around £100k in expenses. Obviously he had a pretty short career and wasn't a massive name but was a big ticket seller in Sunderland.

Also remember Fury turning down a final eliminator vs Pulev to fight Haye which would have been a huge PPV grudge match. Was due to make millions from it and knew it would be the biggest fight of his career so paid £1m to have the best training camp with the best sparring partners, only for Haye to pull out twice.

Dunno why he's gutted, he's now got a 27 year old star whose willing to sportswash for him. Better than a washed up 35 year old.

Dubois battered him, but boxing a bit of a joke unfortunately. 2 people fighting for a title that neither of them earned, having a boxing association remove a belt from a unified champion weeks after unifying all of the belts.

Ridiculous. Tyson Fury sat his arse on his belt for how long? 3 title defences in 3 years, 1 of which was against a handpicked near-40 year old that he'd easily beaten twice prior.

I'm still in shock how bad that ref was. I'm trying to think of a worse Boxing referee performance but I genuinely can't.

The 4th round was bad enough. Then he out-does himself by going the full 10 count whilst AJ is too busy faceplanting the floor, didn't even wave the fight off ffs :D
