Latest boxing crack

Hearns changed his model though ain't he. Don't think he's working like a traditional promoter and seems more like he works as a network executive for DAZN.

He does currently have some form of contracts with Bivol, Andy Cruz Jason Ennis, Bam Bam, Shakur, Giyasov, Hitchensens, Buatsi who looked very good last night, Dalton Smith, Opetaias etc so he's doing alright tbf.

Total novice question but for Joshua when he had a fight how much money will he bank once he walks out of the ring, what does he need to actually pay for in the build up and how much does it all cost?

Heard on the undercard one of the fighters they said his friends and family had spent £800k up till this point, is it like motorsport where unless you get to the very top you are losing money and it’s better working a ‘normal’ job for £40k a year than getting punched and struggling with life.

Think its probably different for most boxers. It'll all depend on how much backing you get.

If you turn over under a big printer who wants to push you then you probably make enough to be alright as you come through. The promoter will lose the money initially but as long as the boxer gets to a certain level will make it back in the back end.

If you're not a name, no amateur pedigree, ain't been to Olympics, no a relative if a famous fighter etc then it's probably really hard to get through. Need to sell tickets which means the boxers buy a block and lose out if they don't sell them.

Manager and trainer cuts 10% each, tax 20% on total incomings, gym costs, dieting costs, nutritionist if you have one. Yeah you can definitely end up minus.

Think it's why a lot of amateurs hang around too long. Sure it's like 40-50k a year to be in the team GB squad. That's a good living.

If fury gets beat of usyk in rematch ( he won’t btw, max bet here)

I actualy reckon AJ v fury would draw a good PPV and potential stadium fight

I’d love to see it - couldn’t give a toss if past peak. It would still be an event 😎 in fact be tempted to go.

And guarantee it would get more traffic on here than just about other fight (bar maybe 2/3 fights )

If Usyk wins in December I fancy him to retire with nothing left to prove...he'll be 38 In January.

Not massively into boxing but every time I hear about Joshua he seems to be losing now. Surely he is finished at this point?

Didn’t expect that last night but fair play to Daniel he absolutely demolished him. Hits like a train.

Pleased for Dubois as Joshua is an arrogant prick. He seems like a nice bloke Dubois.

Hard to see where Joshua goes from here because after that a rematch seems pointless. He got absolutely blown away.

Usyk will beat Fury in the re-match and retire.

Fury will then fight AJ in a past-it fight (for both) but will be hyped to the hills by the usual characters (Warren, Hearn, Saudi's etc.) and will sell-out Wembley despite all of this.

Dubois will take on Parker.

Think he needs to retire now as there's no coming back from that
He shouldn’t activate the rematch clause and just concentrate on one massive payday against Fury at som point

I think this as well

Lost to Ruiz, won the rematch. Lost to Usyk twice in total dominant but not disgraceful performances (in the ring anyway, were totally disgraceful outside the ring :D). Before DDD, he'd beaten every opponent he'd faced as a professional other than Usyk, who also dominated Fury.
Dominated fury???

Was a split decision pal. Yeah lost round 9 with the knock down but he didn’t dominate like you suggested.

They knew Joshua was gun shy straight after the first Ruiz fight.
Dubois was the first genuine banger he’s fought since and there’s the outcome.
He’s got no chin and even Dubois’ mistimed punches were hurting him.
