Latest boxing crack

I really don't get the hate for Joshua, given the hype he has had (which is Hearn's doing) I think he has been a pretty good ambassador for the sport and the UK. He says the odd stupid thing but the blokes a boxer from the streets he's not a wordsmith or academic; if he gets interviewed for hundreds of hours he is going to say the odd stupid thing.

Personally hope he takes the rematch and wins it.

Ben Davison has took a lot of praise and rightfully so but the tactics were all wrong tonight.

Because he was brought up in an era of Boxing where Charles Martin was a legitimate world champion and himself and Eddie Hearn sold themselves that they were the next best thing since sliced bread.
Being brought up in a very poor era doesn't automatically mean you're going to be a shit all-timer because Wlad Klitcshko will always be an all time great but AJ was brought up in a shit era and was shit himself.

What top of there game fighters does Hearn have in his stable now?
Wouldn't be at all surprised if he's out of boxing altogether within the next few years. Joshua has been the only real moneymaker that Matchroom have had left for a few years now, it's been obvious over the last year or so that he's lost pretty much all interest in the UK scene since the Saudis rocked up and he's never struck me as a 'proper boxing man' the way that Warren or Bob Arum are.

Sacking Sky off for DAZN has been a disaster for Matchroom.

The first round decided it.

There's no point in trying to assess Joshua's performance after that because he never recovered and it was very obviously just a matter of time.

I thought he showed incredible heart to survive as long as he did, he was even fighting like crazy to get up from that last knockdown, and incredibly almost got himself in position to win it.
Great post well played ! 100% this really

Good that it was on Sky Sports box office so he had his Sky sports presenter trainers on ....vocals are shot ,they won't last all the scheduled dates .
Glad i missed out on the tickets , £350 +£500 digs money/ travel money / beer money to hear Oasis hits sang flat and out of tune with 70,000 arms up in the air with phones recording it ,so you see fk all....no thanks.

He looked awful before he was hit. Feet were slow, his jab was slow and ponderous, he had his chin up in the air, arms down, looked slow and his chins gone completely.

Lads shot to bits. He's 34, had a long career, took a lot of big fights in a row and had a few wars, it's the way it goes. Brutal sport that's unforgiving. Time for the lad to get out, unlike some he can get out with hundreds of millions in the bank, no need to get beat up anymore and risk his health.

Even before the knockdown at the end of the 1st he didn't look comfortable at all.

Opetaia as well

Bam I think is with him too? Not sure on that one
Hes a friend of a friend so I don't wish him any bad fortune but he's made an awful lot of money feom pretty bang avaergse fighters

Sorry like but Hearn did a lot for British boxing during what was a right golden age domestically. His stable was f***ing quality at one time.

Warren seeing out his career in fine form however.
