West Brom (H) Brum (A) Wigan (H) Fulham (H) Bolton (A) Wolves (H) West Ham (A).
If we are sitting 10th'ish at the beginning of April, there will never be a better opportunity to make a silent charge for a european spot. I genuinely think this may be the season, or am I being deluded?

If we are any higher than 10th come April, then who knows where we might end up.

chances are everyone of them teams except bolton will be in a relegation dog fight. hard hard games if so

I'll take tenth now

I don't understand that attitude this season.
We've already proved we have the squad to be able to mix it with the big boys and they're all struggling with lesser quality squads this year.
We've got signs that the away form might improve, home form is holding up and we've won with the yellow ball.
You've got to seize the moment and build on the confidence and momentum that has been built, similar to the seventh place seasons. No doubt form will dip at some stage but if we can keep team spirit up then hopefully it won't be a sustained period and they can always draw on the Chelsea result to show what they are capable of and should fear no-one. Tenth spot should be easily achievable this year and shouldn't be seen necessarily as a big achievement.

It's the also rans mentality that holds Sunderland back more than anything. Thankfully the squad has been purged of the last of the fifteen pointers so as a fresh group of players they've got to believe in their ability to beat anything in front of them and do it week in week out home or away. Another couple of good results in the next couple of away games will have a major affect on confidence.
We've got a good run of games from now until Christmas and have another good spell of games in the run-in. At the moment anything is achievable.

The sides we'll have to play, who are fearing relegation, will be easier to take points off than those chasing the title etc ....... statistics suggest that a side's average 'take' rarely changes at the end of the season ............ there are exceptions, like West Brom, but we really need to take advantage.

Bliiy Fish, "At the moment anything is achievable."

I agree.

I agree.

Saggy Chops has just been on saying that Spurs have to believe that they can finish top of the league, if you don't they will not go into games thinking they can win. Aim for the top and if you miss out you'll still be in the mix at the top, if you only aim for fourth it's unlikely you'll end up above that as you'll go into certain games set up to accept a draw etc.

As it stands if we have a good win against Everton we'll be above Spurs. So much at this level is about the teams mentality going into games.
