Just another day in the crazy World of Premier League football.
Absolute shit show and certainly don’t miss it in any way and so far removed from it now.

Imagine spending £250 million on players and going backwards ha That’s something I thought only we could do...
I’ve just been reading about the premier league all time biggest spenders. Chelsea top the list with £5.2b on transfers and wages. Sunderland ranked 12th with £1.2b, hard to believe but true.

Does he even decide transfers?

No of course he doesn't. Managers at Chelsea haven't decided on transfers for 10 years. The transfers look like me on Football Manager. I see players I like and sign them only to find out that I have 7 attacking midfielders and didn't get the centre back I need.

Lampard hasn't done a good job, but the transfer situation at Chelsea is ridiculous. You have to go back to Kante 4 years ago to find the last signing Chelsea made who has undeniably been a success.

I don't see Tuchel winning them a title. If I was them I'd have a 3 man short list:

1) Didier Deschamps - Is there any way to convince him to give up the France job either now or after the Euros.
2) Julien Nagelsmann - It looks like his opportunity to go to Bayern has gone so he'll be looking to move abroad to an elite club in the summer.
3) Brendan Rodgers - Consistently done a great job, has Chelsea DNA and gets his teams playing good football.

Not sure we’ve spent £1.2 billion? Our record signing was around £15 million (2 or 3 times we spent around that I think). We’d need to be giving wages of like £100k a week which again is way more than our highest ever earned which I think was Rodwell at £75k a week.
