Played Werner off the wing when he scored 28 times last season playing centrally, the lad looks void of any confidence now.

Imagine thinking Chelsea handed over 200 million to a bloke who has managed one year in the Championship.

He was in whilst the transfer ban was in place. He would then stay there until their preferred choice became available or he defied their expectations.

What has happened is their predicted outcome.

Did a good job last year, especially after losing Hazard and having no money to spend. Brought through some good youngsters.

Looks lost this year, doesn’t have a clue how to get the best out of Havertz.
Worst thing to happen to him was when they won the transfer ban appeal.

It was stupid even appointing him. I’ve never agreed with throwing ex football players straight into management at a high level, especially making ones who made their name at a club their manager. It rarely works out.

OGS is working out now at Man U because he has experience at Molde iirc.

Lampards CV compromise of one average season at Derby which ended in him failing to get the Rams promoted. Chelsea should not have been so eager to take him away from Derby so soon. Nobody wins. Derby was robbed of an up and coming manager who could have got them promoted in the second season, Frank was thrown in at the deep end having to win the club he made his name with titles and Chelsea got a very inexperienced manager.

Aye, that's what I think will be interesting about it, it'll be good to see whether he really has his heart set on being a manager, or whether he'll think "had a go, fuck it" and sit on Sky. Because as you say, he won't get a Chelsea level job again, and I doubt any lower PL sides would take a risk on him. Clubs in the championship would take a punt; he wasn't a disaster at Derby (wasn't particularly good like, but still) and they'd think he might have improved, plus he gives a bit of publicity. I'll be honest, I'll have a fair bit of respect for him if he drops back to the championship and goes again

I think he'll end up with better offers than the championship if he fancies another job. Even Di Matteo got the Schalke job after fluking the CL with Chelsea. Could definitely see a lower mid table PL taking a punt in the summer if there's some musical chairs, not to mention there will be offers abroad if he wants.
