Worst thing Lampard done is tried to spend big money. He was building a very good young English side then abandoned it all in favour of so called superstars. How has that worked out Frank?
He spent £120 million on those 2 German lads. They’ve both failed massively. He should’ve bought from the premier league and also signed 2 new CB’s!

There was a rumour that Avram Grant was coming in to advise Lampard. Maybe they’ll give it to him until the end of the season

They had Mount, Hudson Odoi, Loftus Cheek, Pulisic, Barkley all who can play those attacking midfield roles and he decided to spunk daft money on havartz, ziyech and Werner who are no better than any of them. Tammy had also just come off the back of a very good season, to then start sitting on the bench.

Tomori had broken through and started to look very good, pushed a side for Thiago.

He royally fucked up!

I feel if he'd carried on with the young English approach he's have been granted more time also

If I was him I’d have gone and signed Calvert-Lewin from Everton, probably cost about £50-75 million and then 2 CB’s. Slowly built. He’s tried to change it all in 1 night

Gave him a security blanket. If it went well, he'd get the praise. If it didn't, he had a ready made excuse. Time has told once he's had to deal with big money transfers and managing expectations.
I laugh when people say when a manager has done well "aye but he's had loads to spend". Spending money and spending it wisely is part and parcel of good management. Its very easy to spend someone else's money on absolute shit.

Tuchel I reckon. RA has experimented with young n English in one fell swoop. Be back on his celebrity superstar old head trip thing now. It’s not about the football or money it’s about keeping himself alive to enjoy the money.

In some ways it seems harsh, in that you'd think you'd want to give a young manager time to grow and learn. That being said he was only given the Derby job because of his reputation as a player, he then did an incredibly average job, and only got the Chelsea job because of his history with the club. So in many ways he was lucky to be there in the first place. Nowt wrong with him taking the gig, anyone would do it, but he'll have known that it's the kind of place where you need to be doing well throughout. If he wanted a job where he could grow he could have stayed where he was, so he can't really have any complaints. Be interesting to see where he goes next
