Its harsh of course it is, but its Chelsea, and what they do works.

Its only really in England where people are obsessed with having managers "build a legacy" for years and years, on the continent they just get rid.

Always used to be bemused by this idea at Sunderland that you "cant keep sacking managers", most clubs do

Sky Sport news is in mourning. Asking other managers their thoughts on it, and amongst the usual, shocked/saddened bollix, a ray of light in the form of Ralph Hasenhüttl, who pretty much says he couldn't give a flying one.
I like him alread. Bring him home.
i dont know how leicester do it...
they sell for huge money a player who then looks shte at his new team..
and replace him, for little money, with a player who is better.
Clough used to do it at Forest. Birtles, Davenport, Bowyer....
What price is Bruce? Of course he’ll have to hope the lads in the shed end don’t hold his Palace roots against him.

aye it didnt work at snderland though..and whether chlsa have had a better outcome for the money spent over the past 20 yars than they would have had by f***ing up managerial appointmnts fewer times is an interesting debating point.

Well we spent 10 year’s in the premier league and were the longest serving team outside the big 7

Did a lot better than when your lot took over and destroyed the club

When Forest under Cloughie are mentioned I always think of that Johnny Metgod goal. Cleanest long range shot I have ever seen

and ended up in league one..,the same divison we are in now...these owners have achieved fuck all...but the prevous ownr took over a premier league club and left it a league one club...hardly a trumph.

Your mates have absolutely destroyed the club

Please leave the board

Haven't read the thread but was just about to say that it's difficult to have too much sympathy for Lampard given that he and his mates in the Chelsea dressing room weren't exactly averse to undermining the manager back in the day.

Quite clear they down tooled to a certain extent to make sure he got the sack

He was in newcastle today apparently, either on a break or toon bound

He was an inexperienced manager going to one of the most trigger happy clubs in England. I don't know what he honestly expected.

Chelsea are as much to blame, mind you. He did nothing earth-shattering at Derby and had a good core group there. If he'd got them promoted fair play, but even then, he was so young in the game he'd not had time to decide between preferences and principles and when it was time to switch those two.

His uncle chirping up is hilarious to me.
