If he's the last centre half we sign this window then he needs to be very good otherwise it chance to be curtains for us.

Never seen the lad play so can't comment on his ability. The fact he is 26/27 and has been plying his trade at a mediocre club in a mediocre league and has signed for us with seemingly little competition makes me wonder how good he will be though.

Great mates with sisserker tho...

Based on the "cameo" of the first signing, who has subsequently disappeared off the map, the non-use of the second signing in a massive six-pointer and the fact that no-one has really heard of the third signing. Given our track record on foreign signings and Allardyce being relieved of transfer duties at his previous club due to poor signings I'd say the three we've got are more likely to more the same than a measurable improvement.

I've said for weeks.......if we can't get players in who are demonstrably better then don't bother. Three of our rivals have managed to sign players who have had an immediate impact and all of which would have improved us,

He might be.....in the league he's playing in. Same as Coates might be ok in the Portuguese league.....and Scocco topped the scoring charts in the Argentinian league....and Altidore tore the Dutch league a new arsehole......and Giaccherini is currently doing well in Serie A.
Shurrup man. I come on here to bury my head in the sand.
Not get depressed on facts.

The fact Sam personally scouted him, has had him watched for around a year and then went to Lorient to convince them to sell is good enough for me.

Agreed the big fella has put the ground work in so he must like what he sees. Let's hope this comes up trumps...
