I've seen racism a few times at the SOL and no-one seemed to be bothered then - at home v Everton the season Matt Piper signed, Li Tie or someone was playing for Everton and people were shouting all sorts.

Re: [BBC] Police start racism investigation from Sunderland match

I have had a season ticket in the North Stand for the past 5 years and I have to say whilst racism is not in your face I have heard isolated racial comments being made on a regular basis. It seems to be the older generation as oppose to the younger fans that hold racial views. I was having a discussion with a fan in his 50's at the villa game in respect of the Clattenburg accusations and he actually said "you can't even call them the N word anymore without running the risk of having your season ticket taken off you" he seemed taken a back when he realised I didn't share his opinion.

What a shock eh.
A bloke who never has anything nice to say about the club hears racism all of the time.

Nowadays for some reason it seems people just love to be offended.

Re: [BBC] Police start racism investigation from Sunderland match

Good news. Hopefully the thick arsehole will be banned for life.

The thing is though, why did our own supporters not turn on him at the time?

I remember ion the past during the miner's strike one lad near me shouted some praise for Thatcher/ the police (i cant quite remember what exactly).

Thankfully myself and dozens of others were on hand to beat the shit out of him.

Supporters need to police oursleves if our moral integrity is to be mantained

Can't believe how many people are defending the lad on the Seventy3 link that was posted earier in the thread.

Some of the worst comments:

"Fukin toppa pic tho needs puttin up in the sol, respect lads"

"David ** you dirty lil horrible grass we find you Herndon boys do it rite"

:oops::oops:

I heard he just had 2 itchy armpits

But seriously I hope the prick never sees the inside of the SOL ever again.

Lifetime ban. Make an example of the thick twat.

No excuses or justification for his behaviour. He WAS deliberatley targetting Lukaku and it wasn't anything other than what it looks like. I saw him from the the NE corner and nobody, stewards or fans, did fuck all til after the event by which time he was already doing one.

No problem with his mate giving him the wanker salute, and can't understand anyone who attends a football match being so sensitive as to be offended by that, but he's just made us all look like arseholes and as such deserves everything he gets.

I'm don't think Lukaku even noticed the ignorant insignificant (unt.

Been said a thousand times but..............

WHAT A F@CKING SCUMBAG, YOURE NOT WELCOME AT THE FOOTBALL CLUB
