Lack of fight - unacceptable.

I do. Just because you seem to spout shite and therefore I want to be awkward.

You are welcome to try to find some if it bothers you that much. Of course, you could always try accepting that this is a forum for discussion and other people will have different opinions from yours.

Really? There appear to be narrow ideologies on here. There are 2 or 3 posters who believe o'neill should go. Then there are about 20 who instantly abuse anyone who questions or criticises him. Both positions have a distant relationship with fact and seem reliant on prejudice. You disagree?

Yes I do disagree. MON will msake mistakes like anyone else in football, but whenever something goes wrong at SAFC it does not mean that MON has fucked up. For you to try and lay any blame for today's defeat at the feet of the manager is absolutely outrageous. Thast is not the opinion of a mind-washed "MON disciple", but the objective position taken by anyone who is not a complete berk.

To get a scratch team in at half time 2-0 down at OT; lose your top scorer to injury; and still send a side out with enough about them to have the better of the second half is a testament to what an excellent manager he is.

Presumably that we "allowed" the best team in the country to go 2-0 up at their place in the first half without forcibly taking the ball off them and scoring 2 or 3 ourselves. You know, like all other teams do when they go to Old Trafford and win.

How hard do you think we made them work for their goals, and their win, out of interest?

Teams go to OT, work hard, stay organised, cut out individual errors and if they don't always get what they deserve they always get credit.

We handed them three goals, stood and watched them play and only had any joy ourselves when they eased off.

I don't give a shit whose fault it is - players, manager, coach driver. Someone's got to sort it out though, because we're handing teams a lot worse than Man United unassailable leads and the odd decent performance, or a bright spell when there's no pressure because the points are long gone, doesn't excuse it.

I do. But your opinion is garbage. Try making a valid point rather than jumping on an agenda. It's fun!

The fact Shields Black Cat and the exile agrees with you says all you need to know.

We've played 17 league games now - list the ones you're referring to please.

Off the top of my head in the last few weeks

Man Utd
Norwich
Chelsea
West Brom

All gifted two goals leads followed by decent 2nd halfs which have resulted in 0 points.

The same could be said for the last twelve months of Steve Bruce's reign but you were shooting people down who posted things like the above.

So, in summary, out of 17 games this season, all of the "unassailable leads" we've given to teams "a lot worse than Man Utd" amount to our being 2-0 down to Norwich and West Brom?

Full. Madone.

These imbeciles never let facts get in the way of hysteria.

what a devastatingly witty riposte!

OK, nstead of laughing it off like water on a duck, explain what there is to be so casual about gifting 2-0 leads to the opposition in 4 of the last 6 games.

But no, you won't do that, you'll make out as if there isn't a problem. Beating reading will cloud peoples view for the next 5 or 6 games no doubt.

I'll take that as an "aye, he's right actually, I am a knee-jerking idiot".

Don't worry about it mate, just plan your arguments a bit better in future, especially if they're intrinsically flawed at the outset.
Explain how everything is cool with giving 2-0 leads away in the last 4 from 6. Without being outplayed, just stupid mistakes.

Then bring your cocky know it all attitude to the table.

No, I was prodding people going to ridiculous extremes of hysteria - he wants to get us relegated on purpose, he's trying to lose games etc. When it was shit I was happy to say it was shit, and unfortunately it frequently was towards the end.

MoN had an excellent start and I was happy that we appointed him - although my choice would have been Mark Hughes, I admit (a certainty that this is the bit that will be highlighted in a pathetic attempt at one-upmanship) - a clear and unarguable improvement on Bruce, attracted mainly imho because we didn't punt Bruce after three games of a season. He had a brilliant start and could seemingly do no wrong.

Something has gone badly awry since then however, and I can't understand the frantic, almost desperately willing ignorance of the very clear problems we have. I don't want him out - I want him to get this set of players going again, I want him to abandon his apparent favouritism towards players who've consistently let him down, explore the options on the bench (Wickham a case in point) and I want him to boot a few of them right up the arse. I don't want to get to January having to buy players or get relegated.

So far this season there's only the Reading game where we've gone out there on the front foot, made our dominance count and earned the points. What exactly has gone wrong? He had a worse squad than this performing brilliantly this time last year, and under considerably more pressure than now.

The shrugging of shoulders and accusations of bedwetting are verging on the lunatic. Something is badly wrong here.

One of them was against Man Utd, the best team in the country.

One was against Norwich, a team in the middle of what is now a ten game unbeaten run and on the back of three consecutive home wins including Utd and Arsenal.

One was against Chelsea, the third best team in the country and European champions.

One was against West Brom and was in the main down to a goalkeeping error that no-one (except, I suppose you would argue, MON) could legislate for.

There you go. Next......

I wish I had the time and guile to write that. It's the smugness of certain posters, two on here, that riles me.

We were beaten by a better team.

Sometimes that happens.

It's not a reason to act like a 6 year old.

Grow a spine.
