Lack of fight - unacceptable.

We never found out how well we could have done, because we barely crossed the halfway line until we were 2-0 down.

I thought you said we did quite well in the first ten minutes?

Sorry mate but if you can't see that we are simply a team with brittle confidence and more than a mistake or two in us at the back, then more fool you. You've got your preconceptions firmly entrenched and you'll keep trotting them out every time we lose - regardless of how the game unfolds in front of you. It's probably best if everyone just leaves you to it.

So what is your criticism on today's game? Lets hear it mate

Presumably that we "allowed" the best team in the country to go 2-0 up at their place in the first half without forcibly taking the ball off them and scoring 2 or 3 ourselves. You know, like all other teams do when they go to Old Trafford and win.

What gets me is the lack of fight we showed, other than the times we showed fight. Why? Changes are required at a managerial level otherwise we'll never show fight, other than when we do.

The best explanation is a lack of effort. Else a two goal deficit away to the league leaders is nothing if not inexplicable!

Frankly, this seems to sum up the mindset of those who refuse to accept any criticism of the manager.
I'm not critical of the manager, but I do think the first 20 minutes was very very poor. Utd didn't have to do anything to win. Easy game for them
You go to Old Trafford you have to compete. We didn't. We didn't defend properly. The first goal was crucial and we gave it to RVP

Lazy response, and complete bullshit.

Really? There appear to be narrow ideologies on here. There are 2 or 3 posters who believe o'neill should go. Then there are about 20 who instantly abuse anyone who questions or criticises him. Both positions have a distant relationship with fact and seem reliant on prejudice. You disagree?

Once the team grows a spine, I'll reciprocate.

The thing I can't get my head round is that when Bruce was in charge and people were getting a bit twitchy, you were one of the loudest in shouting down the 'pant shutters'. Now you regularly post garbage like this. Strikes as a bit of an agenda to be honest mate.

And it says something that the only person backing you up is ShieldsBackCat.

I do. Just because you seem to spout shite and therefore I want to be awkward.

I agree - if not a lack of effort, it's a lack of fight.

It has to be - after all we match them all over the pitch in terms of ability; so the game was always going to boil down to good old fashioned, hard graft. Hard we worked hard, we could never have lost to Man Utd. At Old Trafford. With a scratch side.
