Kumquats

Not in ages but one of the greek islands had kumquat distillery we visited some time ago, can't remember which one but it was strong stuff, had a branch in it and sugar crystals on the branch iirc.

We went there in the 90s. It was Corfu.
Incidentally I have a limequat I bought from Lidl. It's a cross between a lime and a kumquat. Actually got lots of fruit on. We sliced them in half and froze them and used them as posh ice cubes

Do they survive and continue fruiting ?
I've seen them little mini fruit trees and thought about it but not sure if they'd work as a house plant.
They aren't frost hardy so have to be inside but they like high humidity so hate a centrally heated room. The first one I bought died over winter but this year I put its replacement in the front porch which is frost free but unheated and it's been ok. I guess a cool conservatory would also be ok.
Edit
Can be outside in the summer.
